I bought a Mitsuibishi Outlander from New-Car-Discount in 2007. I saved just over £2500 on the vehicle. I must admit that I was very apprehensive about parting with my money via cyberspace, but in the end, was more than happy with the vehicle and the service. I did read a little later that the company had gone bust after supposedly letting a lot of people down, however, they would appear to be trading again. The only issue you need to be aware of is the delay in getting the log book. This is because the car comes pre-registered to a Mitsuibishi Dealership and then is transferred to New-Car-Discount - basically you get the brand new car but are classed as the second owner. If you want to transfer a private reg, this will take some time to sort out.

We order a car from New Car Discount last year, paid the deposit of 1000GBP.
The delivery date got closer and close but had no contact with them.
Tried calling but no answer again.... and again same. Shortly found out that NCD had gone into administration, still to date not rec'd a refund for the deposit. However, we did still get the car from Auto Union Finance another company who we're trying to sort the big mess NCD had made.
I would not recommend buying from New Car Discount.- Read Guest's review (90 words)

We had dealings with this firm last year with similar experiences to everyone else. We finally got a refund of our deposit when our Visa company intervened - but before that we had months of missed delivery dates, unsuccessful phone calls and letters; with no result.- Read singinghinnie's review (58 words)

As soon as order placed the forecast delivery slipped then slipped again - car still not available, not sure when it will appear. Customer service not available at the weekend (only sales). Wouldn't deal with New Car Discount again.- Read graeme b's review (50 words)

Car buyers, I know anyone will look for bargain/savings including myself. Please do your homework and shop around. Dont be fooled by the savings you think you will be making with NDC. I will in future keep away from NDC and will not recommend them to anyone I know. The customer services are unhelpful and not always willing to admit their own errors, and the reasons why you have not received your car after paying full amount 10 days before delivery date. The customer services make me wonder if ma ...- Read miwindsor's review (215 words and 1 comment)

Please exercise some caution when ordering from this company. They are cheap but it really has been a catalogue of despair for me since the original delivery date in January was not honoured. Endless calls were not returned, successive delivery dates came and went. This caused me and my family huge anxiety - particularly after we had paid money upfront in good faith and we had sold our car some two months earlier. Eventually the car did arrive just under two months late - a few gripes (missing ...- Read Spencer715's review (126 words and 1 comment)

I ordered a car from these guys on 20 Sept 2007 with an expected delivery of 20 Nov. The delivery date was changed numerous times. On 10 Dec they informed me that car was in stock but needed rest of balance before they could deliver the car on the 17th Dec. The car never arrived after phoning them on the 18th they informed me there was a tax issue with the car that it had been lost but could guarantee delivery of the car in between xmas and new year by 2nd Jan car still not received. Again rang t ...- Read Barbara Whittle's review (295 words and 1 comment)

Eight weeks after I received the car, I noticed the spoiler was loose. I took it to my local Mazda dealer for a warranty repair where they told me the car had been previously repaired (not an approved Mazda repair) and the bolts holding it on were damaged. They told me my warranty is void and I will have to pay for it myself. I noticed on the spare key tab that someone in the dealership had written on it that the car had been damaged. New Car Discount have seemingly ignored my attempts to commun ...- Read do i complain too much's review (336 words)

Customer Service was poor - failed to return my calls and never gave any useful delivery info once they had a deposit. I was constantly fobbed off with the line "I'll need to contact the dealer and get back to you!" Needless to say they did not. Tried to change T & Cs regarding payment after the contract had been agreed. They wanted payment two days in advance of delivery. I was eventually forced to cancel the contract and then chase my deposit through Trading Standards.- Read purplehayes's review (92 words)

I found it hard to get any meaningful communication with this company. It took 7 months to get vehicle registration documents despite repeated attempts on my part. Felt fobbed off and anxious about the legal status of the car.
On balance, a bad experience: would not recommend NCD to anyone I like.- Read perfectlyformed's review (55 words)

The overall price of the car I ordered from New-car-discount.com was a lot cheaper than if I had gone to a main dealer. The car was also delivered to me, so saved myself both time and money. Would definitly recommed this company to a friend.
Overall process was simple and efficient.- Read CJPenn's review (75 words)

Absolutely dreadful service from New Car Discount after the deal has been secured. Kept us waiting for 2 hours. Car had no mats although this was part of the deal, provided universal cheap ones instead. V5 yet to appear after almost 4 months. Never return calls once you have bought vehicle. Would recommend against using them.- Read rossie's review (67 words)

I have always bought my new cars from a showroom (8 so far!) I hate the pushy salesmen who always ignore me and speak to my husband even though they know the car is for me! We definitely pay for those posh glass and stell showrooms.
I used this company to buy my mini recently and after reading some of the reviews am quite shocked as this is not the experience I had at all.
The car was delivered to my office in pristine condition with only delivery mileage on the clock. The delivery driver wa ...- Read iamarshall's review (127 words)

My story is very typical of others on this review database and tomorrow I will be chasing yet again on a car I was originally expecting 2 months ago. The owner of this company has been called but as yet is never available and despite calls to the staff with promises of calls back etc etc I still have had no call back. Tomorrow I will also seek legal advice. Take my advice and do not use this company.- Read mtollet's review (100 words and 1 comment)

I felt like all they wanted to do was get as much money out of me as they could as early as possible. They asked me to pay in full 2 weeks before the car was due. When I refused they stopped speaking to me. I either couldn't get through on the phone, or the person I needed to speak to was not there. They seemed to blame the dealer for everything. I found out the dealer it was coming from, rang them direct to find out my car had been in stock for weeks, and they could not tell me why New Car Disc ...- Read jessica100's review (232 words and 1 comment)

I ordered a Pre Registered Mazda 6 Estate through New Car Discount and was told the car would take 3 months to arrive. 6 Months later the car had not arrived. Countless telephone calls were made to the director who refused to return my calls. Eventually I had to get a friend to make a car enquiry over the internet who strangely received a response from the company straight away (well it is another potential lamb to the slaughter), the phone was passed to me and he immediately hung up. I contacte ...- Read pestman41's review (183 words)
