Backpass definitely filled a void in the market, for those of us getting up in middle age, who still love the game but yearn for the era of muddy pitches, slide tackles, surging terraces and players with real footballing names like Bobby, Willie, or Archie.Memories come flooding back, on reading each excellent, bi-monthly edition.

Just bought Issue 7 of BACKPASS and for someone brought up in the 1960s, it is easily the best read on the football magazine market. Just loved it. Trying to get all the back copies if I can.

I found this review very helpful because... I've been looking for something like this since Shoot dumbed down. I managed to get issue 8 as well before it got in the shops by phoning them directly. Lets hope they keep going...
