Pros
Attractive design, Ease of use, Awesome sound quality

Cons
Uncomfortable keypad, Sound through the stereo speakers could and should have been louder

10 Feb 2009

Summary
Essentially, this is a slider version of the existing W302. There's a pretty comprehensive media player, FM radio and stereo Bluetooth. The W395 ships with a 1GB memory card in the box, which is enough for a modest amount of music.

Summary
The budget W395 Walkman music phone may not offer a fantastic screen or camera, but it punches above its weight in pretty much every other department. Its music player is excellent, the on-board speakers are great and it offers a decent feature set. ...

Pros
Good music player ; decent headphones ; excellent build quality

Cons
Poor camera ; small keypad

Verdict
The Sony Ericsson W395 Walkman's screen and camera aren't wonderful, but, in pretty much every other respect, this phone puts in a better performance than you'd expect from a mobile with such a low price tag

Sony Ericsson W395

Summary
The Sony Ericsson W395 is a wallet-friendly, functional sliderphone

Pros
High quality walkman player; 1GB Memory Stick bundled; Stereo speakers; FM radio included

Cons
Camera is fairly poor; No 3G connection; No flash for camera; Basic browser; Clunky email setup

Verdict
This model, though, is more of a straight-ahead sliderphone design, with the prominent stereo speakers on the back the main eye-catcher for its target youth market buyer

This was my first Sony Ericsson and it will most definately be my last!
Having this phone for only a couple of months and after experiencing several problems with the software i have finally given up all hope of ever having this phone working properly.
Software problems which i have experienced have been :
freezing whilst carrying out mundane tasks e.g. writing a msg or taking a photo.
Buttons jam or stop working all together
The newest problem seems to be the phone...

Samsung Tocco freezes all the time- pretty annoying when your trying to turn the alarm off- you have no chance, the letters seem to overlap when texting, camera quality is rubbish - blame the flash, screen scratches very easily. Its an OK phone, but i kind of regret buying it as it has so many bad points.

Be warned - Don't buy from play.com - phone seal was broken when arrived, was a non-uk spec phone despite being sim/free and unlocked. Got the message welcome to 'Singtel' and a widget 234 10 which I couldn't remove which should display the network on.

If you want to try this phone recommend you buy from carphone warehouse on a 14 days peace of mind thing. Incase you need to return.

Sony Ericsson W880i
27 May 2007

I'm relieved to have a phone that is reliable and that I can use regardless of where I am. The W880i is a joy to use and so far, I'm really pleased with my choice.

I went for the silver case and the black & orange one really didn't appeal to me...

It's not going to set the world alight but after wearing the mobile phone version of killer heels (in the Chocolate), I'm more than happy to have some comfy slippers for a while!
