“an inferior product”

About 40 cigarettes you say.I fear I must report that statement under the UK Trade descriptions act. It may we were unfortunate enough to have purchased a defective unit, but it lasted for less than one day intermittent use, approximating to 2 (two) cigarettes We are not at all happy, especially as we thought we were buying a superior product at £7.00. “Disappointing, Unsatisfactory, Incorrect information”

I agree with most reviews, I purchased a starter kit and two additional tips. The tips fon't last in my view to an equivalent of (at most) 7-8 cigarettes (if that). The battery is empty in a very very short time and the taste is horrible One review stated that the information is nearly fraudulent and I would agree with that I am sure that there are electronic cigarettes for sales which would stand up to the claims but this product most certainy does not Mine will go in the bin......... waste... “Not up to the mark set by others”

I am used to the Gamucci ones but my local shop had none in stock. Thought now was the time to try the E Lite ones, but what a mistake. 3 new tips and on 3rd in one day compared to one a day with Gamucci. Long before they run out the vapor dies out, first 8 puffs were ok but after that useless. Will not buy anymore of these, stick with the others. (read more)

I bought these as my Joyetech had ran out of juice and I was going to London for a few days, the corner shop was the quickest option for my nicotine fix! They are well presented and remind me of disposable type E-cigarettes or cigars. I bought the vape itself and 2 packs of the extremely overpriced cartomisers. First off I'd like to state I don't normally bother with reviews but in this case I'm incensed. If it saves somebodies hard earned cash from getting in the hands of this lot it's worth it. I got caught short with my normal e-cigs before a weekend fishing trip so bought e-lites because you can get them from several outlets. Claims of 40 fags per refill is bordering on fraudulent, 15 to 20 at the outside and that's generous! It costs more than smoking, so e-lites have totally misread their market, I have news for you, people who buy these are already hooked on nicotine, they won't be repeat customers if it costs them more! I have contacted and have sorted out some free replacements so I cannot fault customer service, very impressive.
I still stand by my review, especially the cost, compared to other makes they are far to expensive.
Also to be fare all makes of e-cigs have false claims abut the number of cigarettes each refill equals but yours definitely tail off vapour wise a lot quicker.

After reading the other reviews. Stating that the batteries don't last long and the refils are rubbish. I fully agreed with these previous reviews when I first tried this E lite product. I bought starter pack from a shop close to my home, the label on the pack stated that it was equivalent to 30 cigarette's "approx". “E-Lites are the worst E-Cigs I have tried”

I had wanted to try e-cigarettes for a while and was drawn to a stand outside Liverpool Street station which was selling E-Lites. I bought two 'pack's and eagerly tried them when i got home. I can honestly say that they were incredibly poor. There is very little vapour - despite drawing quite hard on the tip - the battery barely lasted about 2 hours between charges, the throat hit was so weak it was nearly non-existent but the worst 'feature' was the taste which was like stale old smoke -... Refills give you a few good puffs then fail miserably, struggle to get anything out. Refills expensive, cost me more than if i smoked normal cigarettes. Battery forever needs charging. Would not recommend this to a friend. Try another brand!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (read more)

I would recommend this to my friends because actually, it is not smoke at all. In fact, it is just water vapor that is practically odorless, so you do not have to worry about your area getting all smelled up. Your clothes will no longer smell like smoke, either.When you exhale you may smell a very slight odor, if any at all. It is absolutely nothing in comparison to traditional cigarettes.However, in my personal opinion they are much safer than traditional cigarettes. (read more)

I started using E lites 5 weeks ago and thought they were quite good then 2 weeks ago discovered V Lites you get more flavour they are cheaper and come in different strengths to suit anyone - Conclusion: I havent had a real cigarette in 3 weeks and dont want one. The reason I brought this was because I gave up before and went cold turkey I lasted 5 days. This time I thought I need something. I have recently seen many people smoking these and they just look like a normal cigarette. I was, perhaps foolishy, expecting them to feel the same as normal cigarettes. I have the new G9 e lite and have not smoked or bought real fags for 3 weeks now, which is pretty extraordinary considering I LOVED my fags and really thought nothing would ever stop me smoking. I ordered an E-lite when I saw a discount code in my moms magazine, it was for one E-lite with a charger and 5 free tips. They claim that the tips are equivalent to 40 cigs. If that is the case, then I smoke 40+ a day. I actually smoke UPTO 10 a day only, so this claim is rubbish. I also counted the amount of puffs made per battery which was no even half of what they say. (read more)

I agree...I smoke 10-15 cigarettes a day and am finding that an E-Lites cartridge is only lasting me one day....I smoke roll ups and a £3.80 packet of tobacco used to last 2 days but with e-lites I am spending £7.99 for two cartridges in the same period....

i find the e lite to be much better than real cigarettes, they taste better and do stop you wanting a cigarette. I smoked about 15 -20 fags a day, now when i need a fag i smoke my e lite and it really works, i had a drag of a real fag the other day and it tasted disgusting, compared to the e lite. I love the fact that you can smoke it anywhere and dont have to go outside in bad weather. (read more)
“Poor Product”

The E-lites range I feel are not as good as other products out there. The re-fills simply don't last as they claimed. The only thing that does seem to be constant with the E-lites products is the fact when cigarettes are put up in price by the good old chancellor the E-lites products seem to strangely immediately follow suit, not worth the money IMHO. I find the gum and tablets available now much more effective at reducing cravings and are considerably less expensive. (read more)

Great product, i have the newer G9 model, decided to buy one from a service station to give it a go and will not look back. I smoked a few real fags alongside this product the first day and soon realised i preffered e lites, i have not smoked a real fag in 8 days now. I was a 20-30 a day smoker and i am finding the cartridges are lasting at least a day if not more, i do have to charge the battery every night but its not exactly a hardship and the new charging kits will sort this problem... “VERY DISAPPOINTED”

Bought a starter kit on Groupon. Not impressed to put it mildly - 5 tips in the pack are claimed to be worth 200 cigs. They are NOT. One tip is about 3 cigs. When assembled, it's too heavy and too long to resemble a normal cigarette. When the tip is new, there is too much smoke coming out of it, giving you bad throat. I also bought e-lites and soon found out the same as you, plus they worked out expensive. I then discovered other brands out there and wish I did some research first.....to cut thing short personally i like Nicolites which i think have a great taste and liberro realis which are much smaller plus they have lots of flavours on offer too.....i only wish i found out about these two first:-)

I love e cigs they have helped me give up smoking tobacco ones. However E Lites are not a good buy. They advertise that one tip will gives you the equivelent of 40 cigs , well in my experience it is barely the equivelent of 10 cigs. I bought the starter kit and the battery is useless and lasts a few hours. Their advertising and sales people are good but their after sales is awful. It works out more expensive than smoking. Do your research there are much better e cigs to be had. (read more)

I am a representative for E-Lites. Here is the enginering on how the product works and hope this will help with your enquiry.
E-Lites E-Tips have been tested by automated machine bellows testing to quantify the amount of inhalations, and therefore approximate 'cigarettes' that they provide.
Each tip tested returns a minimum of 210 three second machine inhalation in order to pass Quality Control.
An average human inhalation is assumed to be equivalent to 1.5 secs. A “whole” regular sized cigarettes equates to 10 average 1.5 second inhalations. This assumption is made on the basis that some people smoke a tobacco cigarette in 10 drags and yet others can burn a full cigarette down in 4 or 5 much longer drags.
A minimum of 210 three second machine bellows inhalations equates to over 420 average human inhalations which when divided by 10 supports the claim of each cartridge delivering approximately 40 cigarettes.
All batches are tested individually.
Therefore we have established the following parameters for the E-Tip's 'Average' usage:
210 (minimum) machine puffs of 3 seconds equates to 420 'Human' puffs of 1.5 seconds.
The 'Average' smoker consumes a REGULAR SIZE tobacco cigarette in about 10 inhalations
We have rounded down the number of 1.5 second inhalations to 400 per E-Tip.
This equates to an 'Average' of 40 'cigarettes' equivalent per E-Tip.

As a human being and normally a light smoker I find you need to take a 5 second draw in order to taste any nicotene and there is hardly any vapour. My experience is that one cartridge equates to barely five cigarettes so 5 cartridges equate to 25 cigarettes for £19.99 which is very expensive. I have since ordered other e cigs which are much better value for money and I feel that your advertising of 200 cigarettes per 5 cartridges is very misleading. The G9 battery is disappointing too

The product is good and is helping me quit but the charger is not great but more importantly, you do not get value for money for your cartridges. I have never seen someone inhale a cigarette at 1.5 seconds or less. A regular smoker would inhale at around 3 seconds or more, thus e-lite cartridges merely do not last. As I am inhaling an e-lite at the same speed as a normal cigarette (As it claims you should do) I am constantly sucking the life out of my e-cig in amazement that it has ran out so quickly. Whilst my health is improving, my wallet simply isn't.

“Why the negative reviews?”

I had bought from the Victoria station and have been doing so for a very long time, they actually didn't have an exec kit anymore? Those are not sold anymore... I got myself an E200 kit and absolutely loved it, its fantastic. I once got a refill online which had a slightly damaged BOX, not damaged product... I phoned them, and they sent out a replacement as a sign of goodwill. I think it's a great product and a great company, if you are unhappy just TRY contacting them, the customer support... I also bought the e-Lites at Victoria Station, i have used this product a few times in helping with stopping smoking. I have used only one cartridge and then the battery ran out! i have tried to recharge it but that seems not to work and after shelling out for the starter kit i am v- dissappointed. Like those before - i have tried contacting Customer Services but no answer. not holding out any hope of getting either a replacement unit or a refund! i advise you seek an alternative product. Ive smoked heavily since I was 14 (a long time ago) and saw an advert online for E-Lites recently - Ive seen ecigs around a few places and after trying a cheapo one thought I would give these ago becuase they looked decent and get good reviews. I originally bought the exec kit last december it lasted a day after wich i'd get 2 puffs out of a cartridge, Rang customer services they said it could be the atomiser, after trying a new one still same proble, returned the kit in february. I bought the starter pack from Groupon, in the hope that this would be the answer to stopping smoking tobacco. I bought a starter pack,was told each tip was 40 cigarettes... have so far used three tips and got the equivalent of about 4 cigarettes from each. Sooo very right. I was curious how long they last and I checked the amount of puffs you get out of one refill. I wasnt really hard on them, i pulled gently and in the end I counted 260 puffs. Another proof that modern marketing is based on a LIE.

Try the Riva 510 and buy separately a dual coil cartomizer. I don't even think about cigs anymore as smoking this is a far superior experience. I still haven't found my perfect e juice but love trying all the different favours anyhow. Sites I have bought from and would recommend are liberro, liberty flights and misteliquid. I bought an e-lites cigarette at London Victoria station last week, admittedly having done no research into
e-cigarettes. If I had I don't think i'd have made the purchase.
Given the relatively high price compared to other e-cigarettes I'm less than impressed with the quality of the product.
After 1 weeks use, the battery rarely lasts a day the cartridges are certainly not the equivalent of 12 cigarettes as advertised and to top it off the atomiser has broken...

As a different way to quit smoking these are a great product. These would be good for people that have tried different methods unsuccessfully. I think this is a good alternative to smoking that if used carefully and correctly (not exactly like using a cigarette) will help in quitting (so the habitual thing can continue) e.g. if you normally smoke whilst walking dog or whatever then this is a good thing to use as you feel like you have had a cigarette. Bought a starter kit from a stall outside Euston Station in London just over 1 week ago. Since then, I've used it daily, and only had 4 "real" smokes (in the first 3 days) and have no intention of smoking normally ever again!!!
I agree with others comments that if you draw too hard then all you can taste is nicotine fluid (so don't draw too hard!!!) and yes, you need to recharge every 24-36 hours.
But aside from that, I'm happy (and no, I am not a salesman for them)

These electronic cigarettes are a con. One puff is all you get with smoke after that nothing.
This is my second one I returned the first as they said it must be faulty but there is not a bit of difference with the replacement. I have e-mailed them but no replyi can't understand their logic surely aftersales is where the company's profit is.
I will be returning this too.

i agree totaly ! cant afford to keep buyin tips, i have counted the most amount of puffs i have got out of a filter is 40 and the least is 5 what a joke compared to the 140-150 they claim to give!

I have used the E Lites Exec electronic cigarettes for a month now and love them. Havent touched a real smoke in that time. Used to smoke 12-15 a day but now use maybe one cartridge for 2 days. Way cheaper and way way better for you! (read more)

The five star reviews on here, are I suspect by salesmen. This is not a decent product. The refills are expensive and the battery life makes an iphone look like a fusion reactor! You get one puff of real ciggy smoke and then nothing.
I'm not saying don't buy - if you can get a starter pack for under £20 then all good, but any more than that and you should shop around for other brands.
After aboout 2 weeks with these, you may aswell carry around a pencil to suck on - this will end up being...

Was very happy until I was sent a faulty atomiser. Do not respond to e-mails. Customer services number just rings and rings. Typical - take your money then treat you like dirt. Maybe they haven't grasped that most of there business is going to be repeat trade from existing customers. I brought the E LITES pro back in may time this year and wished I would have done my research first.
The batteries I found dont last long, not suprising by the size of them, the cartridges dont last 5 minutes and are somewhat expensive and if you draw on them a little too hard you end up with a mouth full of nicotine fluid that dont taste too nice.

E lite is superb. Although I,d givenm up smoking some time ago I was in danger of starting again so decided to give E lites a try. It is the closest to the real thing having tried other brands. No nasty tobacco smells - I can have a cigarette indoors without offending anyone. I would have preferred a battery recharger as standard rather than a usb charger. (read more)

I tried the Elites Electronic Cigarette Exec model a few weeks ago.
At first I was pretty reluctant to have a puff but decided that anything is better then smoking real cigarettes.
The cigarette was light in my fingers and felt just like a real cigarette. I chose the medium cartridge strength as I am a light smoker and found that it really did do what it says on the tin.
When you draw upon it the vapor surprisingly feels like real smoke and the fact you can just have a few puffs whenever...

Have you contacted customer services i order to resolve these issues? If not then please email us at info@e-lites.co.uk and we will replace any faulty products upon receiving them back.
It would seem your batteries sound defective as for 4 hours charging you should receive approx 10 hours from them, all batteries are under warranty for 6 months so again we can replace them for you.
We also offer price reductions for customers who sign up to our 'Discount Club'.

No, I haven't contacted customer services, there is no need, I will NOT be using the product again so I don't need any issues resolving.
I'm afraid the battery problem is a bigger issue than just handing out a replacement, if you read the reviews you will see a majority of people are having a problem, it looks more like a manufacturing/supplier problem.
Nobody want's a discount club, they want value for money in the first place and as for reward schemes....Who want's the hassle of posting off used e-tips? Once again, value for money in the first place is the key.
I can buy any other e-cigs in packs of 5 for about the same price as your pack of 2, each e-tip lasts as long as one of yours, there are less duds, I don't have to buy into schemes or discount clubs to get value. Seriously, it's a no brainer.
