I ordered a mattress (double) with Archers. The terms and condition of their website saying that UK one man delivery will be made to the first accessible ground floor door. The delivery came this morning and the driver from Night Fright came to the door and asked my wife to come and carry the mattress with him from the vehicle to my front door and when she asked why, he said that this is man delivery otherwise you have to pay. “double bed”

Our bed was delivered with no slats. Because we took it overseas they would not send the missing parts. I asked for a refund of the cost of the slats. Still awaiting a phone call for the last 2 weeks from a very rude, unhelpful manager & no refund. Bought 3 chests of drawers ready assembled. Started to unpackage 1 and what initially looked like glue turned out to be bubbles in the gloss finish, then found a large scratch on one of the drawers. They were swiftly repackaged and will be returned right away. I'm so glad I hadn't ordered the bed which I was intending on doing later today. Don't waste your time or money! (read more)

Really, really disasppointed. I ordered and paid over £400.00 for a mattress with free delivery from this company. I received an email confirmation of my order which included details of my purchase and delivery. "Delivery method: Day of choice delivery (one man delivery to front entrance of building)" I included special delivery instructions as the flat I live in is on the 1st floor and the entrance is at the back of the building. I entirely agree with you. The free day of choice delivery is misleading, I had purchased before I read the terms & conditions (like a lot of other people I suspect). My front door is just inside my gate, luckily my husband had a day of when my delivery came, he had to go out to street to help carry stuff in. My delivery was a shambles with beds missing & bedstead I had not ordered....(2 boxes over 6ft long that I was left with for 5 days), the driver was not interested he told me to phone Archers & left. On the second delivery I had to go out to van to carry stuff in & I am not young or fit. My review is further back with all the details of the supposedly 2 men delivery which I paid for 1 item which did not offer free delivery. & had 1 boy carry it into house. The firm is disgraceful & should be looking into what is going wrong with all these complaints.

“Worst Customer services ever !!”

I would not recommend this company at all, I ordered a full bedroom suite and I was told it would be 4-6 weeks maximum, it turned into 10 weeks and I still never received my items, excuse after excuse was made as to the delay. I was the one who constantly had to chase them to find out what was going on. I bought a bed in 2011 and to my disappointment it developed a fault. I called the Auldhouse store where I purchased it from expecting to be turned away. I spoke to a lady who said the store manager was busy but would call me back as soon as he was free. He did and arranged to come out to my house and inspect my bed and agreed that it was not right.He arranged a replacement that was delivered and all in all I have had a fantastic experience . Ordered in early -Feb on the website which stated 2-3 weeks delivery which was ideal for as we needed the bed for a specific date. 3 weeks came and went and we hadn't heard anything from them regarding delivery. My partner and I went to look at mattresses and bed frames in a number of bed shops 2 weeks ago, and Ross was by far the most helpful . Ordered an Ikea sized mattress and picked a day for delivery. Mattress turned up at 11:00am on the day as promised. Exactly as described. My only comment is that the communications could have been better. Other online companies give the option to track your order and will send out a confirmation of dispatch. Archers don't do this. My daughter selected a specific bedstead, mattress and carpet all to be installed together. Archers web site said the bedstead was in stock but I contacted them and specifically confirmed that they had the bedstead in stock. I placed the order via the web about 3 hours later. “Shopping experience from hell!”

Complete disaster, bought the bed and within HOURS of having it there was a fault. I bought an ottoman type bed, which was sold as slight seconds. “Not interested in you, just your money”

I've wasted so much time recently writing to Archers Sleepcentre that I've lost the will to type by this point. Their attitude is truly shocking. I'm sure many people buy products from Archers & don't experience any problems. If you are one of the unlucky ones who does experience problems though, like me, don't expect them to be even remotely interested, because they will quickly & rudely make clear that they are not.
