    Our cruise ship stopped in Kusadasi in April which gave us the opportunity to visit the ancient city of Ephesus. We had arranged in advance for a private tour through http://www.goturkeytours.com . Six of us from the ship met our guide; the six of us visited the Temple of Artemis, the house of the Virgin Mary, Ephesus, and then had lunch in a beautiful setting in an olive grove near a rug factory. After a lovely lunch, we toured the rug factory, visited the museum of Ephesus, and returned to the ship.
    Our Guide provided us all with excellent interesting information during our tour. She has a degree in tourism and speaks excellent English. The company was responsive to my emails, especially when I increased the number of us on the tour, and exceeded all our expectations. I would highly recommend them. In addition, the cost was modest and a fraction of what the cruise line charged for a much larger, more impersonal, bus tour. Be sure and request him. It was a great day with incredibly interesting sites.
