    When I started fly fishing for salmon I was advised to get something hld expecteavier than the 7/8 weight reels I normally use. My search for a decent well priced salmon reel began. I settled on the Pfleuger for several reasons. It is a well machined solid aluminium reel with a wery good finish only bettered by reels costing considerably more. It has a huge capacity as you would expect swallowing the heavy fly line and 15o yards of backing with ease.In use the reel is smooth and has a super drag system which is micro ajustable through its range. The spool change is brilliantly simple and not fiddly at all. With a combination of its price ease of use and high quality and exact engineering this reel is a winner comparing well with more expensive reels.
