I was not surprised to see the high praise from the other people that took the time to write a review. My two great dane 8 month old pups are our "fur kids" so when I needed someone to take them for walks, look after them for the day and when trying to arrange someone to care for them when we take our summer holidays next year was a challenge. However, my anxieties soon went when I met Lisa, her friendly, warm welcome and approach to the dogs was super. Nothing was too much trouble and she took time explaining and offering reassurance to us. The dogs returned very relaxed and although pleased to see us didn't display any anxious behaviour. Lisa showed us a picture of them sleeping/lying on their backs, which is evidence that they were relaxed as this is a very vulnerable position for them. I do not worry when she has them, I feel that she cares for them just like we do. I cannot praise the care and service she provides, highly enough. Finally, Lisa is also good at evaluating risks, and takes appropriate measures to ensure the safe care of my fur kids. I would recommend her without a second thought.

I have recently broken my leg so unable to walk my two labrodoodles Storm and Star, and feeling rather guilty. Found FURKIDS on the internet and now I feel guilty no more!!! Lisa came round met Storm & Star - filled some paper work in to allergies etc - and then took them for a walk. Lisa doesn't walk them round the roads - she takes them to country parks where they can be taken off their leads and have a good run.
Mentioned to Lisa that I had to cancel Stars appointment to be neutered coz of ...

I was very pleased to use the very caring and professional services of Fur Kids In Blaengarw to look after Smudge, my Jack Russell Terrier. I purposely chose a home environment for him as I knew he would be sociable with other dogs. Also, I was very confident that he would love all the excersise in the valleys as he is a lively little chap!! It was a very similar routine that I use at home. As I wouldn't leave our two Miniature schnauzers Holly and Maja in Kennels (that thought just didn't go down well) I was on the hunt for someone who would look after them and googled furkids. We visited Lisa a few weeks before we travelled abroad and my dogs loved it there straight away.

Tammy, my 14 year old dog stayed at Fur Kids from the 21st - 23rd August 2009. Lisa was very professional on the phone and requested that I went with Tammy, to see if I would happy for her to board with them. I was greeted with a very warm welcome, Tammy seemed to feel at home straight away. I know new that she would be OK and I was right! When I went to collected her she didn't seem stressed at all, but relaxed an happy.

I had to go to a party in Bristol on Saturday, usually I would avoid such occasions because I won't leave Harvey and Troy, no such luck this time.

I visited a highly recommended local kennel and was horrified to discover the dogs must be in by 12:00 and much be collected by 10:00, they could not bring their own food, would be locked in a kennel, without an outside run for at least 15 hours etc. etc

Oh no what was I going to do!!!!!

Whilst searching for home boarding for my 8 month old Dogue de Bordeaux called Kao, I found Fur Kids in Blaengarw (6 miles outside of Bridgend). Having spoken to Lisa, who has 2 Great Danes herself, we took Kao to visit a few days before his stay. What a wonderful place for doggies to stay - Lisa had 2 other boarders there at the time and she took time to introduce Kao to his fellow guests and showed us some of the wonderful walks that he had to look forward to.
