Good Points: *Full 1080P HD,*great sound as the speakers are placed facing out as with conventional TV's and not tucked in behind to save space like some, which I think distributes the sound poorly,*3 HDMI connections,*2 stereo jack out put connections for connection to the video sound through a Hi-Fi,*Built in free view with a crisp (not blocky) like some LCD's built in receivers,*Excellent feeling and expensive looking remote which also acts a video/sky etc. controller,*the side "on" button really dose switch it on and off and not just on stand-by (saving power),*good looking menus and option screens make setting up easy,*Great price

Bad Points: Plastic used for frame sucks the dust out of the air by way of static charge and cleaning is required very day or at least regularly

General comments: The Sharp LC46XL2E is a well put together package for the price with all the features that I would count as "really matter points" for me at least! Lets forget about the new WiFi fads or USB photo viewers for just a second..... because to be frank this TV dose not have them! But it is a great TV and the benefits of not having these new functions is the price,I got mine for £899 and if your like me and only use the extra functions once and forget about them then surprising only use it to watch TV on then this is great buy. Firstly the set itself looks modern and pleasing to the eye much the same as more expensive TVs apart from LED super slim technology (witch at this early stage of LED technology is about the only difference) and lets face it, I don't watch the side of my TV and I don't live in an art gallery or anything fancy so depth will not bother me. Boosting full 1080P pictures bluray films look amazing and there's plenty of settings to fiddle with if your the kind of person who likes to get things visually just right, although there's also pre-sets for those who don't! But don't be fooled by many companies taking advantage of people with big numbers like 1080P and 10000000 contrast ratio, many people won't notice between sets and contrast ratio does not have an industry standard meaning some companies will measure dynamic contrast ratio and others just contrast ratio meaning you can't really compare on paper and often can't tell when seeing them either and lets not forget that technology moves fast meaning that your TV you buy now will not be as good as say one in a years time. A couple of years ago there was HD ready (720p)....excellent everyone said I'll have one of them.....Then FULL 1080P HD.....what you mean my HD ready is not as good as I thought? No! Soon the companies will tell us that in fact FULL 1080P HD is only FULL HD on a static picture and in fact not on a moving picture.....which if your watching TV is usually a moving picture! But this is the state of the industry, if you need a good TV which has a great picture handles motion blur well thanks to its 100hz technology at a good price you can't go wrong here.
