Good Points: Beautiful location, perfect cottage, it was an amazing holiday in the peace of the country side with a short drive to lovely towns of Ezdell and Brechin and a 40 min drive to Aberdeen or Dundee. We done lots of country walks all of which were lovely. I would recommend a trip to whisky distillery at Fettercain (about a 10 min drive).
Bad Points: None
General comments: Amazing!! I have just returned from a weeks stay at East Balfield Cottage, it was by far the best self catering accommodation I have ever stayed in. The cottage is located 4 miles from the town of Ezdell, in the beautiful glen of Angus, the secery is amazing. It is a stone fronted 19th century two bedroom cottage, adjoined by the West cottage which is also avaiable to hire. The cottage is coisy and homely and the best equipment accommodation I ever heard of (there is enough equipment in the kitchen to cater for a small army). The living room has an open fire (the fire wood is supplied at a small cost) two coisy sofas, a tv and a libery of books, videos and dvds, plus a good select of board games. The master bedroom is large with a king sized bed and beautiful views. The second bedroom has twin beds and camp bed. The kitchen is very well equiped, we cooked every night and there was every utensil we needed and more. The bathroom has a bath, seperate shower, basin and toliet.
