“Do not use this Insurance Company. Cannot be trusted.”

Do not use this Insurance company. Use another Insurer. Absolute terrible Insurance company. Constant harassment asking for fees. My car was only insured for 25 days and and I paid £164.73 and they want me to pay cancellation fee of £125.00. Constant harassment with emails, texts and letters which is failing to obey by the Financial Authority Conduct (FCA) handbook and guidelines under Section 7.9.11 by threatening to instruct Debt collection company to receive their fees.

“Took 68quid off me and no refund!”

Few weeks after started my insurance with them they sent me a letter saying I need to pay a cancellation fee of 68quid,I assumed I might have missed a payment,so on Saturday afternoon I paid by automated line, found out now that I paid it for nothing and they claim not to know anything about that and that they don't have an automated line at all! Will change my insurance company as soon as I get paid again. Disgusting!

We purchased the insurance on sunday no where did it say about a tracker so the monday when the paperwork came through i noticed this so on the tuesday morning i rang to cancel and on top of the £79 deposit i paid they was demanding another £98 id of never taken the policy out if id of known they wanted to track me bewiser and avoid this company plus they dont help at all

“Car insurance”

Beware not Be Wise(r). My experience of taking out car insurance was to encounter people employed by this company who were seriously inept and unhelpful in every way. They gave me an adequate and acceptable quote but followed up with an increased premium and from then onwards my experience with this shambles of a company got worse. I would not recommend these people to anyone!

“Won't stop phoning me”

Got a quote off them yesterday which was way way over the top, so found a suitable insurance. Couple of hours later, the phone rang, it was BeWiser, they said they could lower the quote, the guy on the other end told me to cancel my new insurance as I had got a cooling off period. I told him I was happy with what I had got so thanks but no thanks. I have now had several calls off them today, I have told them 3 times that I don't wish to change with them...and they still ring. Do NOT use this company unless you are desperate for someone to talk to, because they won't leave you alone

“Utterly appauling Service, AVOID!!!!!!!!!!”

Called to change the car I was insured on. Did in garage after agreeing to purchase a different car. Was told they could not deal with immediately an would call back in couple of hours. Never did and was sat in garage for hours waiting. Garage eventually sorted new insurance. Then called next day to cancel and was told there would be a £75 fee and also 3 months of the policy fee on top. Awful service. AVOID!!!!

“Absolutely disgraceful ”

Had my policy cancelled for being 3 days late on a payment... yes 3 days . Bearing in mind I paid half a year upfront and 1 payment left for a further 4 months cover. A truly shocking company. After there shocking behaviour they even tried to sell me a new policy at twice the cost because I now have a cancelled policy against my name. Stay well clear of bewiser!!!!

“Poor Communication”

Took out a policy with them last month which was for two cars for both me and my partner. They advised me over the telephone the cost of the deposit (£247.00) plus the monthly payments. I advised them that I had been quoted cheaper elsewhere so the person I dealt with managed to speak to her manager and reduce the payments down, again the deposit was too expensive and I told her this. She told me that I would only need to pay half of the deposit (totalling £123.00) because she can spread a little of the cost over the monthly amounts. I paid £50 of the deposit payment that day and advised that I would pay the other remaining £73.00 two weeks later. Two weeks later I called up to pay the remainder of my deposit only to be advise that the deposit has tripled in price and I am now outstanding £197 in the deposit. I have since called up at least 8 times and explained the situation to 8 different customer care advisers who have advised that a lady in the Admin department was dealing with the case and will call back. Two weeks later and I am still chasing them and still not receiving any phone calls back. My first payment is due to be coming out of my account in 3 days time and what's the bets that they will just try and take the whole amount??

“Never Again Once Bitten”

So like most people I was looking on line for a quote and received a call on a Sunday evening. The person I spoke to sounded like my best friend and the cost seemed reasonable. However I had cause to cancel the policy after about one month. My policy cost about £325 ish and I was told I would be refunded £145. The attitude of the person I spoke to was so clever and seemed as if he took pleasure in telling me. So a lesson learned, I just wish I had looked at these reviews. My advice would be to go on recommendations. Good luck

Spoke to them this morning as I am in process of buying a new car and needed to transfer my insurance. Once again your staff excelled n customer care and did everything with care and efficiency. I am so impressed with you guys you are brilliant!! I like how he saved all the details so I did not have to go through it all again. When I called him, he took me through everything quickly without keeping me on the phone longer than necessary. They both had a great sense of humour as well. Keep up the good work!!

“Now the Wiser ”

Having had to make a claim I now find that in spite of asking the company to include Legal Cover and NCD they did not do it and DONT do real Legal protection . I always have these two items as I run a business .My other half did not print the docs off and read so this was the 3rd but last renewal with these guys ! Because I asked on each renewal and was not told they only provide assistance involving third parties @ great inconvenience .MORAL is PRINT docs and cancel if not to your requirements ! Don't buy on PRICE alone check the PHRASES used to sell to you . I will probably use my trade provider next time as even if you have minor injury you don't want hassle on top of a claim when not your fault and demand police attend the accident . Luckily I took phone cam pics !

“refund ”

Be-Wiser ha! Been waiting for refund(128.29) for over 2 weeks phoned them up last week 22/2/17 and told it was "released" and was told it would be "with me in a few days" phoned 3 times today and told on first call that it was sent manually to my bank and needed to be released by me LIE NUMBER 1 BEWISER, here is LIE NUMBER 2 as above but phoning me with a code to take/phone to bank -guess what no phone call- phoned this evening only to be told if I want to complain I have to complain to them first and it could take up to 6 weeks for a reply so that's 6 more weeks they have of intrest but if I owed them money the bailiffs would be round in 5 weeks!!! appalling service never again BEWISE DONT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE PAY THE EXTRA AND GO WITH A REPUTABLE COMPANY!!

“Cold Callers”

For god sake, don't use any personal details on their website or any price comparison system. You will get spammed with cold calls for days afterwards. Stick with a reputable provider. Personally I've found Go Compare to always come out cheapest of the lot and they don't spam you after using their services.

Thee option not to receive updates, referrals or anything else is ignored. I am always careful to select the right options and I get spammed anyway. The reason is that my preferences are ignored and my details are sold on regardless. An industry wide issue which the regulators choose to ignore.

Bewiser abuse this in the same way as any other low grade insurance sham. So your words do not provide any assurance I'm afraid.

Be warned people, use bewiser and you'll get spammed even if you choose the right options on the site regarding the use of your personal information.

“goodbye bewiser”

I have had car insurance through Bewiser for 3 years and house insurance for two, and they have definitely gone downhill in the last year. Frequently kept waiting for 20 minutes + for customer services, people don't ring you back, call centre staff seem poorly trained etc. I renewed a home insurance policy recently and after a couple of weeks they contacted me to verify that I wouldn't be taking my bicycle away from home. They didn't seem to understand that a bicycle is supposed to be taken out.They ended up sending me an insurance cancellation letter but they don't want to refund the premium. I can feel the start of a CCJ coming on - that normally works.

“STAY AWAY, BE WISE”

Bought a car insurance worth of £1823.52 last month. After 28 days, I had to reject the car insured to the motor trader as it has several faults. Called to cancel my policy with Be Wiser and boom: I have to pay nearly £900 to have it canceled (paid a deposit of £392.62, one payment of £200.74 and now they demanding another nearly £300). Some amounts are in the cancellation policy but they are demanding 10% on "lose interest" which is nowhere in the policy. I definitely was NOT WISE when purchased this policy and even if some term are in the policy HOW CAN YOU CHARGE £900 FOR A 30 DAY POLICY???????? Be wise, read the T&C carefully and try to avoid them!!!

“Disgusteing”

Be wiser??? more like be ripped off This company adds charges and interest on your policy which it doesn't tell you about an insurance quote with 4 years no claims started out at 54 pounds per month then because I was a month under my four years and told them about it they stated it would go up to 76 pounds a month looked at my quarterly statement to find the direct debits are 90.00 a month due to interest charges. This company may look great on compare sites you have to ring them to take out insurance and the price on the compare sites is not what you get quoted on the phone charges for this charges for that attitudes that need addressing its hard enough to get insurance at the best rate but to be blatantly ripped off is a you get with these jokers AVOID!!!!!!!!

Having just renewed my car insurance with BeWiser and assured the document would be posted to me, a message in my email box says since you have given your email your document will be online. However what if I can't print it? The price on the online document is a different price to what I have just paid. Has anyone else had problems?

Hi, I have no problem at all with Bewiser I was already with them 2 years so far and plan to renew for the third year very soon that's if no other company give me less money of course, Yes their car insurance agreement is online and it is printable, if you have problem between the price you have paid and the price on the insurance, simply contact the customer service and they are more than happy to correct it for you straight forward. Although I didn't have your problem we had a lot of other problems with BeWiser & decided not to use them. They then charged us £60 for the privilege of changing our minds. The worst company I have ever dealt with & wouldn't touch them with a barge pole !

My documents contained a couple of errors by the Rep after they called interrupting the on-line quote process. When I called BeWiser to correct these they wanted to charge me for each amendment. To their credit they speedily refunded my payment after I cancelled. the policy. I rarely print insurance documents and just save them on my laptop and cloud drive to be double sure.

Sorry to heard about your problems, I did not get any problems with BeWiser, all documents are online and printable, just look around for the instructions and how to print them, sometimes you may be required to save them to your pc first About the differences in prices it could be that you ticked for an item without knowing, always talk to the company they are very helpful people and will rectify and explain the reasons hope this helps

When i renewed my policy i to asked for a paper copy to be sent after two phone calls i have still not received it a third call is going to be made and unfortunately i will tell them what i think. My e-mail also quoted a lower price when i questioned this they said it was administration, having said all that i still find them very competitive and good value, hope this helps

I found them to be very helpful and when I did have a query they amended the documentation accordingly. As I bought on-line I expected my documents to be emailed to me, so have them saved as well as printing them. As a previous reviewer suggested, give them a call, the staff I have spoken to were very polite and helpful even though my initial purchase was made on-line. Just to note my contact with them by phone was to validate my no claims bonus and not due to any errors or wrong pricing on the policy documents.

Ask for it to be posted there is no reason why they cannot do that, you have taken out the insurance online I did get my policy docs by post., is there any reason you want to print it? Ask at your local,library can they print it if you email them. Don't accept you have to go online get one by post,

They also sent me a doc with the wrong price (almost twice as much) some months after the correct one (which took lots of hasssle to get out of them). It turned out they didn't charge me the higher price. These guys are a bunch of disorganised jokers. Good luck if you ever have to claim from them! Also, beware their telephone line is charged at premium rate .. although there is a ringback service.

I'm sorry I can't help with your query but I can advise that my experience with this company was horrendous. The sold me a policy and cancelled it the next day leaving me with an uninsured car on the road. They then tried to charge me a cancellation fee. After much hassle I got a £50.00 gesture of goodwill but would recommend staying well away from them.
