Whatever you do DON'T use this bunch of clowns. To say they are inept is an understatement. They couldn't organise the proverbial pee up in a brewery, even if you opened the door and laid on the food for them. Can't get details correct even when you email documents several times over, nobody knows what is going on, they lose anything you send them, don't return your calls, issue incorrect paperwork several times (in one case with no details of the vehicle being insured!), etc, etc. I really... This is a very expensive and over-priced company, i will never use them again. For my landrover, bewiser were over £1,000 more expensive than a cheaper quote I found with Direct Line Insurance For my fiat, bewiser were £400 more expensive than a cheaper quote I found with Tesco. bewiser were in fact, always the most expensive and wasted my time calling me back, asking questions they already had the answers to and generally mucking me about under the pretence that they 'may' be able to... Price excellent , listened to me, and came back with all I needed. We had an interesting phone call, the person was very helpfull. However I then went to tax my Jaguar at the local Post Office, guess what! They don't accept printed off policy documents, I know, I can hear you all screaming "they should"!! They wouldn't. Had to do it by computer. Another hour. Please think about sending just the certificate to us, and the rest by e-mail, I know it kind of defeats the object but it my help... (read more)

As per title I cancelled my policy within 14 days of taking it out only to receive a letter saying "their are no monies outstanding"? even though I payed over £400, and 3 weeks after being promised, via a phone call with their useless lying customer service team, that I will be refunded the full amount I payed, albeit with an absurd £26 "admin fee"? then I`m still waiting for my refund. After trawling through various comparison web sites I found my renewal with Be Wiser. Their phone operatives were fantastic, efficient, friendly and the company beat any previous quote. The also include RAC and legal cover which is really handy. (read more)

Really helpful and very informative service from Mark Gibbons. Good deal on car insurance with excellent benefits. People are keen to leave negative feed back with regards to insurance, but this service deserves all credit . Policy was emailed straight away 11 pages not 40-50 as others have said . You take too long to answer the customer help line, this is very annoying, but you are very helpful once you do answer. I was promised a call back on the same evening, that did not happen. When I send an e-mail it takes 2 or 3 days to get an answer (if at all). (read more)

I am very satisfied with the renewal arrangements carried out swiftly and the attention to detail by your consultant. These contrast with the lack of service I received last year when first placing the insurance through you when I failed to receive either the Certificate of Insurance or policy document and had to ring your office several times. The girl on the phone was very nice but the price did go up a bit and they would not put the documents in the post. I was e-mailed them but 44 pages long! Alot to print out. Not to bad but could be better. (read more)

I was very well looked after by a lovely guy called Mark Gibbons. He listened to my enquiry as I explained I needed to insure my car for the first time as me as the main driver. Never done this before Mark was very quick at helping me to understand what I needed to do. It was no bother. I got my quote. I would highly recommend getting your home insurance thru Be Wiser. Its saved me a bundle! I dealt with a really nice guy called Mark Gibbons who worked very hard and took a lot of time out to find me the best possible quote. overall very good telephone was ansared quickly no hanging on waiting for an advisor The only downside I did ask for docments to be sent through post ,recived e-mail saying that i had to download them , called again and they said they sent them to me . Although I accepted the quote, which was fair, I wish i'd stuck with my old company...the stress was not worth the thirty pounds i saved. Firstly, i was not told of the £20 p.a set up charge for a Direct Debit. When i rang to ask about this, I was old they " didn't have to". my experience with this company leaves a lot to desire, as we have to accept that there has been a misunderstanding about the quote given they appear not to understand the word cancellation. While their customer services accepts that legally I have the right to cancel for 14 days after the transaction they appear to be unable to activate this process and refer to a call from the sales manager to dicuss this ( call yet to be received ). Originally got a quote for a new car I ordered back in February for May time delivery and even though the premium had risen by about £50 when I came to take the policy out in May the original lower quote was still honoured. I got my insurance and used my International Driving License, and they called me after a month asking if I was trying to get a UK license. I said yes and that I got my Learner permit. Having been insured through the same local broker for over 20 years they left it until the last minute to remind me - and then the premium they demanded had gone up by over £200! Would not use this company again, when i had a accident ( not my fault) the service i received was awfull i was paying for a courtsey car but they wouldn't let me have one. I was so stressed and got no where with them i ended up going through the underwriters who are Aviva!! they were brillient and sorted my claim with in a week. Set up insurance, thinking I had called my existing insurer, they let me believe they were another company. I then needed to speak to them a couple of days later to add some info. I never managed to get through, despite trying around 20 times, staying on the line for up to 20 minutes on some occasions (at my own expense, as you wait whist connected so paying for these calls). Excellent customer service, slightly dearer tha my renewaly quote but the additional free extras enticed me to take up this policy. I like that there is also no compulsory excess and the free roadside assistance and additional cover for lost items was well worth while. My first quote was reasonably lower than quote from current insurance provider but when policy came though was higher and details incorrect (I had a trainee advisor). When called back was told I would be charged to cancel or charged to make an amendment after querying they agreed to waive the charge. All staff very polite but go through details very fast. To be honest I was quite sceptical when I got yet another unsolicited call from someone wanting to find me a cheaper motor insurance quote. Once connected to Be Wiser I did feel as if I was speaking to a real person who seemed to be interested in getting me the right deal. I took out a policy a year ago and had no problem with Be Wiser, however my renewal has become a farce. The agent I spoke to for the renewal quoted my e-mail address to me, then proceeded to send the documents to my husband's out of use e-mail address, which was never used other than for an initial enquiry via a comparison website.
