“Still waiting for a refund”

While getting a quote on bewiser's website, they phoned us and made us a good offer on car insurance which we accepted on the spot based on the information they'd provided on the phone. The e-mailed quote which came through stated the wrong number of years of No Claims Discount, so we phoned back to correct this information and they said it couldn't be corrected and that the policy had been set up with the wrong information, so we cancelled the insurance (within 24 hours of purchase, and before… Read Full Review

i would not go with these at all again after their incompentence. directed through go compare insurance search engine i though what a good price. the day after insurance company emailed me to ring to confirm all details. when it comes to years of experience i put done 0 as i have none. when i rung bewiser insurance they said i had put 3yrs down. so recaluted it and quote shoot through roof. i cancelled policy only to realise that they took off £50 due to their policies. they seem to have no… Read Full Review

Be-Wiser car insurance,oh dear!! They quoted after i went on a comparison site. BE WARNED, dont go with them, you will have problems, i have ,with my no claims bonus, and threatening to cancel (costing you dearly if it happens) due to their incompetence with my direct debit, not just the first year but the second aswell. good efficient service as always. Staff are pleasant, polite and friendly. They take the time to explain the policy and ensure it is understood. They make sure the product is what we the client wants and needs to fit our circumstances. Initially was insured abroad and had proof of no claims,Be Wiser initially insured me cheaper than anyone else with Aviva ,who would not accept my no claims . When I started to gain UK no claims Be wiser were more expensive, but held me as they were giving me more no claims gained abroad . I was looking for a car insurance on a VIN chassis number as my car has been imported and I was waiting for the DVLA letter with my UK registration. First of all Be Wiser is not an insurance company for an insurance broker so it will be much more expensive than if you look yourself for an insurance company. You can get quotes on different websites. That was the first time when I met such unprofessional approach to customer needs. the only easy way was to pay, but there was a different story to get a service! Been ripped off with this company, still waiting for refund with a policy they should of cancelled when i got my new vehicle but still carried on taking payments for a car i didnt own which i proved with an invoice when i sold the car back to ford.Been going on for 9 months now and had no option so i rang the Ombudsman, everyone ring if you have any probs and report them. “Totally Unacceptable”

Cancelled insurance after one day, never dealt with a company like it before and hope I never do again, absolute rip off, no one knows what they are doing though had got a good deal paid in full and then got told we had to pay more as we had put down 9 years no claims bonus we paid so we were insured then check and was told we hadn't put that down and they couldn't tell us why we had paid more Never ring you back, eventually paid our money back minus 25.00 which they have charged us to cancel… Read Full Review

“No Claims Bonus”

I took out a policy a few weeks ago for a vehicle that has been off the road for 3 years, when asked if I had any no claims bonus I replied no because my no claims bonus was out of date for that vehicle, I was quoted around £350 comprehensive, I said no to this quote as i was quoted £235 by another insurer they asked me to hang on they'd try & get a cheaper quote & they quoted £239 so I took it for the sake of £4.00 everything was set up I received an e-mail with my covernote luvly jubbly… Read Full Review

“greedy, rubbish,always demand more money with fake excuses”

Being a Bewiser customer, I change my car from toyota corolla (2001) to skoda octavia(2007) the annual premium was £600, but bewiser demanded £200 additional saying skoda is bigger engine, 2.0 litre vs toyota 1.6. I paid and after another 3 months I sold the skoda octavia as it was breaking down and replace with another skoda of the same year 2007, smaller engine 1.9litre, so same brand, same model, same age, same driver, same circumstance and to my utter shock, Bewiser demanded another… Read Full Review

“Not good at all”

Very poor service - one staff member saying everything is fine because you explained me everything about previous policy cancellation, second thing what they doing is - after few weeks cancel policy and saying I didn't tell them about previous policy cancellation. And after that I have to wait 1,5 month to get back my money (and its not over because I still waiting) ! Back in July 2014, I had a car accident which wasn't my fault and the other party agreed to full liability - I had minor damage to the rear bumper of my car, but the whole situation has been a major headache in dealing with Be Wiser who are only a broker the real company in Quindell!
