“avoid at all costs.”

My partner took out an insurance policy with this company. BIG MISTAKE. 6 Weeks after taking out the policy we unfortunately had to cancel due to a mechanical problem with the car. This has now cost us almost £500 and they still want more. They are writing to us demanding another £100 and a company claiming to be the insurance company they use are writing to us demanding £200 We have contacted and arranged an appointment with CAB to resolve this. I was quoted £956 to insure my subaru impreza wrx on the go compare so i rang up insure wise to go with the quote they gave me so we went through all the details which were all correct then she gave me a quote of £1086, i was confused so i asked her what the extra money was about which wasn't really explained to me clearly. i still decided to go with the quote as it was still cheap. “Absolutely attrocious ”

I took out insurance through BeWiser in November, I had my policy cancel a few days later as the insurance company wouldn't allow me to leave my car overnight at my partners house. I was then charged around £130 for the few days I was covered and "administration fees", I am still waiting for my refund 7 weeks later. same problem with this very sad company B WISER DO NOT USE THESE THIS SHOWER WISH I HAD SEEN THIS FORUM FIRST!!!!
they hounded me on the phone, then i told them exactly what i wanted told them i had 5+ years on a traders police and to go and see if that was ok, specifically told them that, by to of there so called trained consultant staff, they say yes thats fine no problem we can take that we will sort it out that's no problem at all.
then after taking my first payment of three agreed payments of £192 then the email come and calls we are still trying to get your 9 years no claim i tell them its a 5+ pluss as stated in more than one telephone confiscation, then this goes on we dont have your v5 document? thats strange i have email them and posted them to you? all this company keep doing is moving the goal posts and causing people misery and hart ache, this goes on for 4 weeks them at Christmas have the cheek to take another £192 on the 19th of december then on the 24 december email me saying they are cancelling me insurance as they cant get my 9 years ncd that i told them it was 5+ rung them again then said something ridiculous like we have another quote for you at £1400 from £576 lol
as i told them politely about that quote.
then all they say is there sorry about that and the mistake was at there end, so said what about my money and they said 5 to 6 working days, so now in waiting but with this very sad al-fit we will see is any of the members out there.
DO NOT TAKE ANY INSURANCE OUT WITH THEM IT WILL END UP IN HEART ACHE!!!! .

Found good deal on web,sign and agree to insure.Then they asked for 5years no claim bonus proof while I type 3 years on web.Then they said price to insure will almost twice of given offer.Then decide to cancel. TRY TO AVOID AS CANCELLATION FEES GOES THRU THE ROOF AND FOR TWO OR THREE WEEKS BEEING WITH THEM CHARGED £270 WHICH IS WITH DIRECT LINE,CHUTCHILL ETC. I CAN BE INSURED FOR ALMOST HALF YEAR. “Bewiser are a nightmare!”

We took out 2 car insurance policies on our 2 cars, each in our own name with the other as a named driver. The only reason we went with Bewiser was that they promised my husband a 9 year NCD to take to any insurer after 1 year of no claims with them (he had been driving on company car insurance & as a named driver on my insurance for many years, so had no NCD of his own) From the outset Bewiser muddled most of our requirements & NCD details. Where do I start been messed about twice - staff do not know who is doing what they cancelled my first policy and transferred it to another on the guarantee that this was it resolved, then they cancelled my second policy and i was not told about it, was driving around unaware to me that I had no car insurance. “Still waiting for a refund”

While getting a quote on bewiser's website, they phoned us and made us a good offer on car insurance which we accepted on the spot based on the information they'd provided on the phone. For the record, I note here the fact that we did finally receive a refund of the money we'd paid - less £40 "cancellation charge" which is outrageous given that the BeWiser call centre staff set up the policy with information contrary to what was given to them over the phone and that we therefore cancelled the policy within 24 hours, before cover started.
This contravenes our rights.
We cannot afford to spend more than £40 worth of our time chasing this matter up with ombudsmen etc.
Rohan, your "customer care" department has failed to resolve this before so frankly I see no point in following this up with you.

Be-Wiser car insurance,oh dear!! They quoted after i went on a comparison site. BE WARNED, dont go with them, you will have problems, i have ,with my no claims bonus, and threatening to cancel (costing you dearly if it happens) due to their incompetence with my direct debit, not just the first year but the second aswell. good efficient service as always. Staff are pleasant, polite and friendly. They take the time to explain the policy and ensure it is understood. They make sure the product is what we the client wants and needs to fit our circumstances. There seems to be a lot of mail sent I am not sure it is all necessary but much better than adding cost for postage. Initially was insured abroad and had proof of no claims,Be Wiser initially insured me cheaper than anyone else with Aviva ,who would not accept my no claims . I was looking for a car insurance on a VIN chassis number as my car has been imported and I was waiting for the DVLA letter with my UK registration. First of all Be Wiser is not an insurance company for an insurance broker so it will be much more expensive than if you look yourself for an insurance company. You can get quotes on different websites.
