    Good Points: Probably the most accurate field air rifle of the spring piston type.


    Bad Points: Heavy. Side-lever cocking not as handy as break-barrel.


    General comments: Subsequent experience with the Diana RWS 54 has strongly confirmed that it is for me the most accurate of the spring piston air rifles. The lack of sight-picture obscuration caused by magnum rifle recoil allows the shooter to recognize not only where his shot has hit (or missed), but gives him feedback on what the barrel of the rifle did the instant after pulling the trigger. The value of this feedback cannot be understated; it allowed me to fine-tune my shooting such that I was able--for the first time ever--to shoot a 1 X 2-inch 5-shot pattern in the off-hand position at 50 yards.
