Summary
The HTC Hero is the first phone to be released with HTC Sense, the newest skin for the Google Android Operating System. After the success of the HTC Magic, HTC’s new mobile phone promises to really take the fight to the iPhone 3GS and we can’t wait to read your HTC Hero reviews and tell us what you really think.
It boasts a 3.2-inch HVGA touch screen, and has all the features you’d expect from the best touch screen mobile phones such as full internet access (including flash support), 5-megapixel camera, 3.5mm stereo headset jack and expandable MicroSD Memory. Be sure to leave your own HTC Hero review and remember to check our mobile phone recycling section before throwing your old phone away.

Excellent phone. Saw a friends in and had to get one. The latest ROM update has improved performance and it now runs flawlessly. Just sold my Tomtom on eBay as the CoPilot live app (£26 extra) has easily replaced it.
The only negative I've found is the camera is hopeless in low light conditions.
If you're looking for an iPhone but don't want to pay a fortune then go for the Hero - it's not a compromise, I wouldn't swap it for an iPhone now!

Love at first sight! This 'phone is superb in every was. Great touch screen, apps galore, standard connectivity (unlike iphone) and ability to upgrade storage (unlike iphone). Only thing that lets the 'phone down is Bluetooth which seems to be hit and miss. Would recommend the Hero to anyone looking for a high end smartphone.- Read Guest's review (55 words)

I have had my HTC Hero since July 28th, at first I was happy and giddy about it, spent a while playing with it and learning how the phone works. I have always been a Nokia brat for the last 10 years, so it was very different. The OS is simple enough and navigation is ok, I love most of the features. I do have a few problems with the phone tho, these are:
Camera is terrible, being 5mp I expectead a lot better, no flash, no backlight, unless its very light, your not getting a picture!! (Nokia bea ...- Read Guest's review (395 words)

WOW! Was a bit gutted that I couldn't get an iPhone because I'm stuck on Orange, but they offered me the HTC Hero for an upgrade instead. They said it was the closest one at the moment, and it is AMAZING!
The touchscreen is just as clear and responsive as the iPhone, and the Hero is so easy to use. The homescreen has different pages, so one swipe to the left or right can let you update Facebook, send a message on Twitter or even check out the weather (well useful these days!). The web browsing ...- Read burnaston's review (204 words)

I have now owned and used my E71 for over a year. I bought it within weeks of its launch in Saudi Arabia. I this time I only needed to phone technical support once (and it had been my fault no the phones')
I use Nokia Maps/GPS on my worldwide travels and have found them to be often more accurate than many other sat nav systems. (Especially around Middle East and Europe)
The only negative is the Camera. Like a number of Nokia phones I have owned over the last 10 years i...
Bought the phone Apple iPhone aabout 5 months ago. Very easy to use. Probably the easiest phone to use out there. Sound volume could be better and the speed of the networking could be faster.
If you have the wifi turned on it's alot faster if you can pick up a signal that is floating around. The phone does alot of little things that I like. Takes very good photos. If it had a digi recorder in it, it would be the whole package!
This Blackberry Storm should not have been released, it is an awful piece of engineering. It is very very slow, it does not let you hold the phone to your face as your cheek acitvates the other buttons.
I got the Nokia N95 8GB as a free upgrade on the 3 Network complete with the entire Spiderman 3 film already loaded.
My previous phone was an N73 which was atrocious & wouldn't send messages after only owning it for 6-7 months.
So far with this phone, no major problems although when I first had it, it constantly had problems reading the SIM & for some reason if I didn't use the phone for about an hour would come up with "SIM Registration Failure" which mean pulling the battery out &...
Great connectivity. Keyboard. Reliable. Fast. WM.
I use the HTC TyTN II mainly for :
- MP3 via Motorola S9 H2DP bluetooth headphones.
- Memory Map as I'm into hillwalking.
- Email.
- Movies.
- Sat Nav / TomTom.
- Various applications and occassional web browsing.
It does them all brilliantly, though I do convert my movies to MP4 first.
All these devices have poor battery life if you use Bluetooth, GPS etc, but I get around this by having a battery extender...
