“Really good”

Written on: 10/03/2013

I don't understand what some people have put here, I've been to two shows through ApplauseStore.com and have had a fantastic time! I went to the X-Factor Live show and I knew not many people would get in so I got there 8 hours early and was 20th in the queue, because I actually read the terms and conditions. I even got to go in to see the dress rehearsal and the live show and I was right up the front for Union J, I loved it. I've also seen the Auditions for Britain's Got Talent and had... (read more)

“Please read before you head out to a show”

Written on: 29/01/2013 by Hc31 (1 review written)

I had been waiting for so long to get tickets to some shows and finally Britains Got Talent came through the Applause store.com. I had 5 tickets for a weekday show. (we all had taken time off work). I read all the T&C's and thought it would be ok. So doors opened at 1:30pm. We arrived to collect our tickets at 11:45am and joined a very very long que. I asked the staff what time people had started to que and they told me10am! At this point i was confused as i had the tickets in my hand but... (read more)

“Best night ever!”

I applied on applause store for tickets to celebrity big brother final and was lucky enough to get 4. We arrived 2.5 hours early and got in the queue. Our tickets were checked and policemen kept the crowd in good spirits. After a while I noticed 2 girls with headsets walking up and down the queue checking people out so i started conversation, told her about our 2 hour trip and showed her our outfits and banners. We were given black wristbands and told we had been " selected". Fast forward... (read more)

“Some things are worth the wait!”

Written on: 23/01/2013 by Hijichi73 (1 review written)

I was lucky to have gotten both XFactor final tickets and Top Gear tickets at the end of last year. I've seen lots of complaints from people that they've travelled to certain shows to find they are oversubscribed and they've been turned away, yet it clearly states on the email that it's not a guarantee to entry and on a first come first served basis. In other words, get there as early as possible and wait for a few hours.. Some things are worth the wait, Xfactor was such an amazing... (read more)

“A lot of queuing, but definitely worth it!”

Written on: 11/12/2012

I applied for tickets for both the Saturday and Sunday X Factor grand final shows and was thrilled when I got tickets for the Sunday show. I was really disappointed when I found out that the tickets didn't guarantee entry and was nearly put off by the negative reviews but we decided to go anyway, not really knowing what to expect. We arrived in the queue just after 11am and were the 540th people in the queue, with some of the first people having queued since 3am. We were encouraged by the... (read more)

I'm not sure why people find the Applause Store so bad!! After finding out that the X Factor Final was in Manchester, I decided to apply for tickets on the applause store off both my accounts to give me a greater chance of receiving eTickets, knowing that I still wasn't guaranteed entry. I also applied for both Saturday and Sunday's show. A week later on both my accounts I gained eTickets for the saturday, meaning I could only use one set, however, not being able to get anyone to come with... (read more)

I arrived in the underground car park in Manchester at 2pm and there were around 6 ques half filled, and I was told to go to the very end one. Registered and applied for tickets to a recent event - was pretty quick off the mark so didn't expect any problem as it wouldn't have been grossly over-subscribed. Partner also applied at same time for different session tickets. Neither of us heard anything back. Written on: 21/10/2012

It seems the vast number of people here don't read the terms and conditions on the ticket. Applause Store have to over-subscribe tickets to ensure full audiences. This isn't their fault and is down to the TV show itself. Tickets are always free so people apply then don't bother turning up, so this is why they have to send out more than is needed. I've applied to a load of shows and all those I've got tickets for I've got in to because I've arrived in plenty of time like they say. This... (read more)

Applause Store is very hit and miss for people as you can be turned away because of their overbooking. Used Applause Store 3 times and only got turned away from one show, living near london being turned away is the irritant cost of train tickets. Peeople had been queuing up since 7:00 am
My advice - take the day off and queue from the morning - unless you have a priority pass.....

There must have been a reason they cancelled your tickets....maybe they found out that the show had more guests or the venue held less.

They could have let you turn up and then you wouldnt get in.

I dont know why people complain about Applause,Ive been to a few shows and have got in,and have been turned away too.

At the end of the day the tickets are FREE and they are a FREE service....but no people still have something to moan about
