    Good Points: Light weight
    Stylish
    Great for fun gunners

Bad Points: High maintenance cost and time.
Lower accuracy than a pcp rifle.
Poor as hunting rifle (lowlight and grass).

General comments: I've owned a Predator since they came out.
I have found it a great laugh to use, a joy to use the Bolt-action even to this present day.
However due to the many variables that can effect shot consistency; I have found it unreliable for both FT and Hunting.

As every cartridge is unique so is the amount of power they deliver. (eg, if one seal is worn a little more than another, if left for a day or two, missfires can occur.) To remove these variables it is necessary to maintain your cartridges... ...which leads to cost and time.
The firing pin that strikes the soft part of the tacs should be adjusted as over time significant wear can occur and the rear ends of the tacs need to be replaced. more cost.

If your thinking of buying one as your main AirRifle or for a dedicated purpose FT/Hunting I would advise getting a PCP rifle.

If your looking to add it to your collection as a unique and a great laugh down the club then this makes a great addition.

However upon firing it I have discovered a few problems with the rifle, it lacks in power compared to most other air rifles i've had a shot of,(i'm no expert on airguns as i'm an avid deerstalker myself, and have only been introduced to the sport rescently.) I shot a squirel that was rooting around in the back garden today, the squirel was only 18-20yards away, I hit the cre ...

The Brocock Predator .22 is a rifle that is at first uninspiring straight out of the box, but fit a good scope, silencer (the barrel crown is 1/8 UNF threaded)and a Harris bipod and it starts to inspire.

Shooting washed and waxed Eley Wasps off the bipod will give you one hole groups at 30 yards, so definitely capable of hunting small game at closer ranges. Wasps are slightly oversized pellets with a soft skirt that make the jump from the cartridge to the rifling best and evens out any pressu ...
