I have used this service a few times and all went well. As it happens, courier services are generally good only when everything goes well. That is, when the parcel does not get damaged or stolen in transit. It is only when either of these problems happen, that you will know how good or bad are they!
That's what happened with Think Courier. I sent a well packed parcel within the UK, which was damaged in transit by DHL (the courier used by Think Courier). The parcel was insured and DHL was at fault because they did not find the recipient at the time, but instead left the parcel unattended by the frontdoor.
Someone at Think Courier's 'customer support' submitted a claim on my behalf, but I never saw any proof of it,except a couple emails. She made me waste a lot of time by requesting photos of the damaged item, proof of value, etc, all evidence that I have submitted.
After days of emailing back and forth (she always seemed to ask me for more evidence as soon as she saw the previous one) Then she said that she submitted a compensation claim to DHL , but that DHL refused. After I contested her response, (for various VERY good reasons) ,she claimed to have resubmitted my claim. She always sounded like someone who's telling you 'I did my job' without really showing you any proof that any job was actually done.
Then I have never heard from her again. Things,to me, looked suspicious since the start of all this.
Again, she only -claimed- to have opened a compensation claim,to have done this and that, etc, but she only claimed these things in personal emails, like 'DHL did this and that'.
I never saw any real proof that DHL refused a claim,or that she did the job she claimed she was doing. She never sent me a responce by DHL. So I phoned DHL and found out that, beside the fact that they could not deal with my problem directly (and rightly so,since my contract is with Think Courier, not with DHL) they also told me that a claim for this parcel was never submitted.
I sort of knew that. I have never liked Think Courier's customer support and from the start I did get the impression that no one was really doing anything about my problem; that I was just being played with. I was right.
In my experience of 8 years of online trading and trying out many courier services, these guys hit the bottom of my list. These guys are pathetic.
P4d and Think Courier are actually managed by the same people. Avoid like the plague.
The only courier service that I can speak well of, is Parcels2collect
I have had a problem with a parcel but these guys actually were professional and sorted my problem in a satisfying and efficient way. They blow Think Courier out of the water.
Avoid P4d and Think Courier, they also share the same lame and fake customer support.
