“SHOCKING customer service. Wished I had read the...”

Written on: 11/09/2014 by Julia73 (1 review written)

Terrible, terrible customer service. Signed up for full year with the promise of a full refund if the first trial lesson did not go as expected. Went for first lesson. Child preferred the previous instructor (from a different school) so asked for refund, only to be then told that a 10% admin fee was payable for the refund, and this was never made known to me at time of booking. Attempts to escalate this fee issue was hampered by repeated empty promises to check with the management and call… Read Full Review

“PLEASE, do not waste your money. Go elsewhere.”

Written on: 23/06/2014 by lesleyloo (2 reviews written)

Don't actually know where to start, as had so many problems in such a short time with Swimming Nature, Edinburgh. £18.00 a lesson! For this I expect the best of the best, and I can assure you, we certainly have not received that! Booked an 8 week course. To date my son has had 4 different teachers and he still is not finished. Lessons on average last about 22 minutes, NOT 30 as stated. Shocking customer service. Cancelled lesson. LACK of communication, emails not replied to, telephone calls… Read Full Review

“Don't make the mistake and take your child there!”

Written on: 10/02/2014 by jackson00 (1 review written)

I took my child in RFC Recreational Club and it was horrible! Lessons were cancelled or changed because they made a mistake with the time!! Its unbelievable. The pool is being very cold and he is shivering! They are not professionals as they said they are. Putting 2 different age groups in the pool is highly problematic as they have differences in development and thus the teacher could not handle them! This is caused due to their poor management. The child is repelled by this situation and it… Read Full Review

I fully agree. I have had appalling service, and have had on going issues for 5 months! Now I'm asking for compensation/refund for all the inconvenience, and they are refusing! Instead, they are offering half of next term free! Why on earth would I want to continue with the aggravation I have received! They are quick to take your money up front, but refuse to pay it back when they have not delivered the service they promise, and I just got told 'a refund is not in the terms and conditions', well neither is their appalling service!
I even had an operations director personally looking after my account, and still had no resolution.
My son has had his swimming instructor changed numerous times, they fail turn to turn up, you get a phone call to advise of the cancellation at the very last minute, venue has been changed, allocated time slot gets changed, they can't get their story straight on why lessons got cancelled, and they call that SERVICE?!
STAY WELL AWAY!

“Very good standard of teaching and service”

Written on: 10/06/2013 by sibar (1 review written)

My daughter has been with swimming nature in Edinburgh for the last year. Her swimming has improved significantly to the point where the next step is now a local swimming club. She has had 2 teachers in that time and both we very pleasant and extremely competent. She has progressed in all strokes and now has a nice collection of badges. The lessons are expensive but we were fortunate that we were paying for a 2:1 lesson and for more than half the year she was getting 1:1 for that price. I would… Read Full Review

“Definitely more confident!”

Written on: 19/05/2013 by threeMs (1 review written)

My 9 year old used to attend a local swim school with up to 8 in a class with the teacher shouting instructions from the side of the pool...which in all honesty, i dont think a child swimming could hear. We switched to Swimming Nature through a recommendation from a friend. Wow! the step up in quality of teaching justified the decision to change. To now have a child that is so confident in swimming the four main strokes and to be so comfortable with the instructor, who always gives total… Read Full Review

“Fantastic lessons!”

Written on: 12/05/2013 by ah80 (1 review written)

I was inspired by the London Olympics to learn to do something I could not previously do - swim! I booked in with Swimming Nature after searching online and booked classes at their Baker Street pool, it was nice to speak to someone at their head office who understood what I wanted to achieve! I booked in for a small block of lessons and was very impressed with the facilities of the venue and the knowledge and care that the teacher demonstrated. If I could not do something he had endless other… Read Full Review

“Beware - Swimming Nature is terrible!!”

Written on: 04/05/2013 by amulka7 (1 review written)

All I wanted was to take my baby swimming. Easier said than done. I registered for baby swim classes with Swimming Nature in Hayes for the end of one term and continuing into another. Then the ridiculousness began. The first two classes we were due to attend were cancelled - shortly before the class was due to start and when we were already at the venue. Unbelievably inconvenient. We then attended two more classes before the term break, and at the last class the teacher announced she wasn't… Read Full Review

What a lot of tosh, I have put both of my kids from age of 2 to 12 at swimming Nature by which time they were excellent swimmers (swordfish), This is obviously on of this people who complain at anything and everything , People that will complain in a restaurant just to get their bill reduced. For 10 years I have used Swimming Nature changed swimming times numerous times and they have been always happy to accommodate.

“Had to threaten legal action to get money back”

Written on: 04/05/2013

Stay well away, false promises, call-backs not returned, emails not replied to after the pool was freezing and my child got poorly as a result. I was promised the money would be in my account 3 weeks ago, apparently it is still with "a manager" who will not talk to me. They were my best friend until I had a problem then didn't want to know… Read Full Review

My twin daughters started just after their 3rd birthday. They have completed 2 terms & have come on so far I am astounded at the progress. The course is very well designed to get them confident in all the right positions in the water. They have had 3 instructors already, 2 of which have been absolutely excellent. Written on: 25/03/2013 by HelenSV (1 review written)

My son (aged 6) has enjoyed learning to swim with Swimming Nature for about 3 terms. The pool in Finchley is lovely. It's well heated and very clean. The tutor gives individual attention and is very friendly. He gives us regular updates on our son's progress. I was surprised to read the negative reviews as our experience has been very good… Read Full Review

Swimming Nature don't teach like anyone else! They teach your child to swim like an Olympian. When we go on holiday people are very impressed as they can swim very confidently. All the parents at my school sign up and the staff are all good. We have had teacher changes and sometines this is not ideal, although all have been wonderful and so pleasant and teach to a very high standard. I am from US and there everything is competitive and its nice to see a company setting goals for the children… Read Full Review

“Fantastic lesson and facility”

Written on: 15/03/2013 by Kayla82 (1 review written)

Just had my first baby lesson at the Hilton on Edgware road yesterday and it was great. The whole experience was made better by the fact the pool is chlorine free. My son and I found the lesson to be fun but constructive. Was a little apprehensive at first because of my son’s history of not enjoying the pool on a recent holiday, but was pleasantly surprised how the lesson went. Experience so far with the service and lesson has been fantastic - cant wait til next week… Read Full Review

“Give it a miss”

Written on: 11/03/2013 by ttench (1 review written)

Swimming Nature at LA Fitness Victoria has been terrible - give it a miss. Other swim schools are so much better. The pool is too cold, you can't watch from beside the pool (they come in and chase you out), the instructors are clueless, and there is no structure/clear lesson plan or progression from week to week. Our 5 month old and 2.5 year old both did lessons and they were both terrible. The company is also disorganised - the first week they changed the class times and never told anyone… Read Full Review

“Bad Custommer Service. No reschedule classes. ”

Written on: 29/01/2013 by Alma20123 (1 review written)

I enrolled my daughter last summer and I liked their way of teaching. Unfortunately they change teachers without letting us know, they don't allow reschedule classes if a child is not able to attend. Classless are very expensive they should at Least let you reschedule if you let them know in advance but they don't. Their Custommer service is terrible when busy they say they will call you back but they don't. I would recommend finding other classes where they are more reliable for the money you… Read Full Review

“Poor lessons, have not received promised refund ”

Written on: 19/01/2013

Went to the first class, and decided to cancel. Despite the class being one-on-one, the teaching was horrible, no attempt to engage with the kid, felt like the army. Daughter was all in tears and normally you can't pull her out of the water. I'll better teach my kid to swim myself. Customer service is bewildering, ringed them several time to check on the status of the promised refund. Every time they site a different issue for delay. Still have not seen my money back after 4 months… Read Full Review
