I've been looking for a suitable beardie set up for some time and as a responsible pet owner I like to do my homework first. After browsing thru several sites I was pleased with the online information, tips and advice with NRC. I had a few more questions so I phoned and spoke to the owner Lois who is a fountain of knowledge when it comes to reptiles. All my questions where answered and I was taken step by step thru the whole set up process start to finish, even threw in a cup of coffee. While looking around the shop I was also impressed with the high standards of all the live stock on display and the knowledge and passion shown by all the staff.
Further to the shop the web site is also a great place for all your repyile needs from light bulbs to bugs to care sheets.

A very friendly and efficient shop and will help you as much as possible.
I asked about tiny Locusts for my Electric blue Geckos and they came up trumps.
If you need a small livefood ask Gary for New Hatch Locusts. No problem keeping them alive unlike micro crickets, nice for a change of diet rather than fruit flys all the time.
The Locusts are about 8-12mm.
I have not seen my Dartfrogs eating them though, maybe a tad large ?

Having bought a vivarium setup from a previous shop, visiting the reptile centre in Northampton was comparing night with day. The layout, cleanliness, staff care and attention to us as a family, selection of products as well as reptiles was vastly superior although shop size was similar to my first experience. I've used a couple of online sites for reptile suplies and unfortunatly have had problems with missing or broken orders but RC was excellent and fast, placed order about midday and it arrive in scotland the next morning,everything was well packaged and present.
will use them again for certain.

only thing i would say is that some of their online descriptions of the products cut off mid sentence.

I have been going in the northampton reptile centre since they opened and i keep many repitles.
They are the most friendliest and knowlagable shop i have been in.Also stock alot of reptiles unlike most that only have 10 vivs to look in!
I beleive they have a new website which looks very interesting. easy to use especially the set up video!!

If i cant make it down then i order all my livefood with them. They arrive in good time and alive..... very impressed!

While I wouldn't say don't buy from RC, I would suggest anyone who goes here with the intention of buying, then go pre armed with knowledge as you will end up getting more than is necessary for your needs. I also found the advice they gave totally differs from other advice from experts I had spoken with.

I have asked for advice and have had lots given.
I placed an order with the Northampton Reptile Centre which arrived next day Which is fantastic.

northampton reptile centre are always very helpful and give good advice but if you know what you want there are exactly the same products available cheaper elsewhere in northampton. i'd definately recomend them for new reptile owners as their advice is second to none and if you want a pet then all of their animals are extremely well looked after. also the livefoods there is always fresh.

Brilliant online shop, only one i have found that deliver live reptile food.would recomend to anybody. website is easy to use well layed out and easy to order from.on top of all this the live food was top notch with no dead creepy rawlies in the box's.

All the staff are fantastically helpful and informative. Every visit to the shop, I come away knowing something more. The fact that you Northampton Reptile Centre guys took on the hatching of our corn snakes eggs and put up with me phoning all the time for updates just shows how brilliant you all are! Thanks to your time, help and patience, I now have a lovely baby corn snake who is healthy, active and growing by the day! Keep it up! Tracy

I recently bought my first bearded dragon and was looking for information on the internet and found Northampton Reptile Centre. They have an excellent website with easy navigation and lots of helpful information on how to look after your reptile, what food to get and how to look after that too. Website has a community section which is ideal for information and sharing any difficulties you might run in to. purchased crickets and locusts for the first time online, came next day with none dead in the box's.
first website i have found that deliver live food, will be spending many more pennys with them.
Northampton reptile centre will get much more of my business, and will be recommended to all my mates. keep up the good work.

i have been going to northampton reptile centre for a few years now, firstly for snake supplies, then i discovered tarantulas. since collecting t's i have found the shop to be a great help in all aspects, good service, friendly staff, and the team at n.r.c are very helpful with attaining information for customers. i am very pleased with the help they have given me to track down some particular t's, and will be ordering them for me at the first availability. i will always highly reccomend northam ...

I bought online as I live in Scotland and Northampton a bit far for tortoise food. Transaction was extremely smooth and product delivered was well packaged and excellent value. Would recommend Northampton Reptile Centre to anyone who can't travel to the shop to buy online, afterservice first class and excellent Facebook page too.

I have been a keeper of reptiles for a few years, and i always believe you can never know enough about them.

It sounds cheesy but i used to go into a shop and wants to speak and share advice and 8 times out of 10, the people in the shop wouldn't know what they were talking about and others couldn't be bothered, and in a way, it put you off using them again.

Northampton reptile centre is one of the best shops in the country i have been to (and i have been to a lot) the staff are very friendly and extremely helpful, i had an issue with a clutch of eggs and they where very helpful, the shop is always clean and there are always people there just cleaning or as it seems at the mo building something new.prices are good and with the website included i feel from my own experience it is the complete package. would and will recommend to anyone.

bought some t-rex tortoise food from northampton reptile centre on monday and received it tuesday. Morris loves the stuff and he was smiling when he ate it. :) came well packaged and in one piece. i really liked the shop as it was easy to buy what i wanted and could pay via paypal. i would of liked more information on the courier and what time they would deliver at. Overall would recommend to anyone for all tortoise food and viv bits.

Because I live in south East, I can't get to the shop - however I needed to purchase regularly some crickets for my sons Rankins. This is the first time I have used the Reptile Centre & its better than expected. Prompt service & delivery. Thank you

Absolutely a Brilliant Shop. Having ordered Crickets for my grandsons Chameleon these were delivered by post the next day. As I live in Northern Ireland the delivery was 100%++++++. I would Highly recommend northampton reptile centre.
