  Good Points: i have really lovely coloured hair now that looks natural. i have loads of great conditioner from all the packs of hair dye. i feel confident in my ability to look after my own hair and happy when everyone says OMG did you do that yourself? "yes yes i did !!!!"

  
  

  Bad Points: if you take the pre lightner off to soon you will look like fizz on coronation street. i did this the first time and i ended up with hair i had to dye 3 times to get back to an orangey brown.
  if you dont do a strand test you should not be allowed to use the prelightner. if you dont get a helping hand or a mirror behind you and miss bits you will look ridicoulus.

  
  

  General comments: I used this to go blonde and it worked for me. I had mid brown hair (milk choc colour) My hair is really thick so i used two packs. I tried them all Clairol Born Blonde/Jerome B Blonde/ Garnier Belle Blonde/Schwarztkoph Ice Blonde 01 etc ( i cut out a lot of hair for strand tests) and none lightened them up enough for me. I would recomend this to any one who wants to go blonde. Its cheap easy to use and really works.
  my strand test indicated an Hour - YOU MUST DO THIS OR ITS YOUR OWN FAULT IF ITS GOES WRONG. snip some off from the back - tape to something plastic and put on the mix. wait until its PALE YELLOW _ DONT worry about the time it may take an hour and a half or just 30mins. hold it up to the day light to check. rinse off dry and then THIS IS KEY put on a mid ash blonde colour - i used clairol meduim ash blonde and this is BRILLIANT. i did use light ash blonde (clairol again because they have a wide and really nice blonde range) ASH because the pre lightner makes it so yellow and unnatural you need to put the ash in to tone it down. if you put in beige or baby blonde you will turn your hair orange. Then if you want to go lighter blonde wait two weeks. then put in the lighter blonde. i Tried to put in the light ash blonde first and it went to bright. i mean i looked like a traffic light and not in a good way. you can try as many as you like even if you spend £30 on hair dyes ( i have about 6 packs in my bathroom that are unused - you are saving £££ on a hair dresser, and the upkeep will save you over time LOADS. so dont skimp on trying out the right shades.
