Do not let this restaurant fool you, behind its splendid decor and vast menu are rude staff, ridiculous prices and bad food. This place claims to be above your average run of the mill local chinese restaurants.
A friend and I visited Chueng Chueng Ku in China Town, London as it serves traditional Dim Sum. After a long wait we were rudely presented with a selection of what we ordered from the Dim Sum menu, the spring rolls were tasteless and cold on the inside and had to be returned, the pork puffs hardly contained any meat at all and the won ton were empty parcels of nothing, there was NOTHING in them. Everything had to be returned. On returning the food, the manager came over to speak to us and despite my companion being very knowledgable in food from around the world the manager raised his voice and snapped to him "you know nothing about Chinese food". We found this very rude and left at once.
If visiting Chinatown I would avoid this particular restaurant at all costs and visit one of the many others in the area. Waste of time, waste of money and bad food. AVOID.
