Good Points: none
Bad Points: Everything, extremely hard work to use, doesn't leave you smooth, burns the hair away, would take a long long time to finish one leg and you arms might fall off in the process. Please don't buy what a waste of money!
General comments: I bought Sheerskin Depilsun after seeing it on a tv commercial and thought it looked worth a try. I usually wax and epilate, but thought this might come in handy as an alternative.I was aware that this might not be as good as it looked on TV but hoped at least it would provide a quick fix if I did not want epilate. You get a large Sheerskin depilator which fits over your hand for legs or larger areas and one small depilator which fits over your finger for small areas. You stick a "buffing" pad onto your depilator and buff in a circular motion onto the area, then by buffing in the opposite direction in principle the tiny little beads on the pad should catch the hair and lift it off. By putting it this way, it almost sounds as if it would lift the hair away from the root? Like waxing or epilating but in a pain free manner. Fantastic.... Hmm, I was a bit skeptical, but decided to buy it anyway and try it out. I tried it on a patch on my leg and for a minute I was pleasantly surprised at how well it exfoliated the skin. I started to buff in the opposite direction for while then looked at the results. The skin looked smooth, but touching it it felt rough. You can smell burning a bit when you use it, and to me this would indicate that it doesn't "lift away the hair" as suspected, it merely rubs it away with friction much like a silky mit you can buy from boots for about 99p. It doesn't leave you smooth at all, not like stubble from shaving but still not smooth and the hair grows back quite quickly. There is one more point to add to this. Just to get one patch barely hair free takes quite a bit of buffing... how long would this take for the rest of the legs?? I don't have weak arms but this definately takes it out of you, I wouldn't want to be buffing all day with this, you'd need a week of buffing and a crate of energy drinks handy. It's difficult to get to the hard to reach places like the back of the legs and continue with the circular motion and I wouldn't use it on my bikini line, certainly not my face!So all in all a load of rubbish and another waste of money. I decided to give it 1 point though for it exfoliating effect but really that is being kind :)
