“Exactly what we expected....a great little website!”

The onebigpresent website was exactly what we were looking for when we finally got round to getting married last month. We're both on our second time and had no need at all for the usual housy things so we asked for small contributions towards one big family holiday for us and for both sets of our children after the wedding. I used to be quite sceptical of this form of present giving, thinking that it may have been impersonal, but I was so wrong. 1BigPresent is actually a personable company and really very practical in today's financial climate. I don't want a handful of random gifts. Not that I am ungrateful, I have too much clutter as it is, one useful item is just perfect :) and since not one of my friends or family would buy the whole item, what better way for them all to chip in!! We had a brilliant wedding day at Rudding Park Hotel back in April this year and used 1bigpresent.com instead of asking for gifts which we really did not need! We have lived together for a while now in our own flat and we have all the traditional household type wedding presents people tend to buy, so we wanted something to avoid the prospect of receiving 12 toasters, 5 kettles etc etc. We came across 1bigpresent.com and it was perfect for us! We used this service for our wedding on the 18th of June this year. More than half of our guests used this and it also gave us a list of what our guests kindly gave us (which is really good for writing thank you cards). It was very straight forward to use and when our event finished we received our money very quickly opting for the bank transfer option. Would recommend and would use again! This service made it really easy for us to request cash gifts for our wedding, something that I was a bit anxious about. We registered a few months before the day and posted out the details wiht our wedding invitations. The different options on the site were good and we uploaded menu choices as well as directions to the church and the reception.

I recently used Ibigpresent when organising a present for my friend's 50th Birthday Party. The guests were coming from all over the UK so it would have been a nightmare trying to collect cash from them all. With ibigpresent, I just set up the account(easy to do)and the guests were e-mailed the link automatically. Great experience for us, really just did what it said on the tin. We registered for our wedding, gave the unique code to our guests and were delighted to have a generous sum of money to put to good use after the wedding when we were really skint. Loved getting updates and messages from everyone and loved the thankyou systems that 1bigPresent provides at the end. Top class idea. (read more)

I would thoroughly recommend 1 Big Present to everyone. We used it for our wedding guest list for people to contribute to for our honeymoon as we had everything we needed for our home and wanted to spend the money on a holiday to remember. It is so easy to setup and for friends and family to use. The customer service from 1 big present is fantastic too.

I used 1bigpresent.com when I got married last year. I was already living with my husband so didn't need lots of household stuff. I was also pregnant with my first child and although I knew I'd like to use some of the baby bits we'd need, I didn't want to use it all on that. We really wanted to ask for cash but knew that it wasn't the done thing.

My husband and I used this service for our honeymoon gift fund and thought it was fantastic. We didn't want to choose specific trips or experiences on the honeymoon, we wanted to be able to use the money as we pleased without having to specify and this site offered exactly that.

This is a fabulous service I came across when planning our civil partnership. We kept our invitation very simple and on it directed our guests to our gift page on 1 bigpresent.com for futher details and directions and the option to make a donation to our gift fund.

We were able to put on a lot of detail like the running schedule of the day, the menu, the entertainment, directions to the hotel and a list of other hotels in the vicinity offering accomodation.

I was very nervous about security on a site that collected money, but when I read all their reviews that came up on google searches I was very impressed. Having used the site it was so easy and the customer service was fantastic. All my friends and Family found it easy to use too, and we ended up getting a much better present for my sons birthday than the usual tat. We were a bit worried about using an online gift service bt had absolutely no problems using 1bigpresent! Everything went really smoothly and everyone said how easy it was to give money this way. We were chuffed with our total money pot as we are moving into our new flat next week and really wanted the cash for furniture. Simple site to use and perfect if, like us, you just need a cash boost instead of lots of household things! We liked that the charges were capped so we knew exactly what we were paying. We are all so impressed with this service! It's such a clever website which was very easy to use, even for someone with basic computer skills and it just solved everyone's present buying problems in an instant. Our daughter recently found and used 1bigpresent.com for her wedding in Scotland in April. It is a cash/gift voucher based gift list and was very easy for everyone to use as well as great value for the wedding couple as there is a maximum fee no matter how much money is in the pot! We have family overseas who couldn't make it on the day and who were delighted to be able to communicate with a personal message as well as contribute on the site. we really enjoyed reading all the lovely...
