“Quadzilla 300 E 4x4 Auto - Very Poor Quality”

★☆☆☆☆

written by 63Piper on 18/03/2017

Bought a 2 year old Quadzilla 300 Auto for light agricultural work. Big mistake ............. Paid £1,500 for it then spent more than £1,000 to keep it going. Never had a Quad before so I thought a cheap Quad would be ideal to try it before spending £10K on a Honda. List of the more major problems as folloews. Gear change was useless, based on the idle speed of the engine the "clutch" engages but it proved impossible to set the idle speed so the gear change worked smoothly and the bike didnt stall because idle was too low. Cluch broke twice in 6 months, got one for free under warranty .... but not the point is it? Bolt fell out of rear suspension, suspension collapsed, crashed bike and trailer - Chinese don't use locktite or locking nuts it seems. Control panel self destructed. Main brake pedal sheared off - another crash. Rubbers and tubes perished and rotting like it was ten years old and had been kept on the beach not in a clean, warm shed, same goes for anything steel it rusted as I watched, not seen that since they made Austin Alegros out of recycled coke cans in the 70s. Bodywork rattly and missing half its bolts after a few days work. Exhaust sheared a bolt - cheap steel in a cheap head. Engine sounded like a cement mixer full of shrapnel. Good points - it did go through mud well and had some decent power but at the cost of bits falling off and breaking with regular monotony. However it has proved such an indispensible bit of kit I have happily scrapped the thing and bought a new Honda. If you are thinking of buying even a brand new Quadzilla think again, it is a waste of time and money. Terrible build quality and very inferior materials.

I had totally the opposite experience with mine, still going since 2013 as new. Might have been because you bought second hand.

Buggy now 4 months old, done 300 miles, leaking fuel from fuel gauge dial(which is on tank). Most rubbers/gaiters now perished and split, would fail an MOT on some. Still a pig to select reverse, only used on road never off.

Been at the dealers for 7 weeks now still waiting for parts. Contacted FastToys.com who are the importers and never even received an acknowledgement for my email.Disgracefull customer service and awful spares backup.
As I said before as soon as it's fixed I'm getting rid.
As for Quadzilla you can guess what my opinion will be if I am ever asked.

Buggy 6 months old broken down again with serious problems in gear box. Been back at dealers for over 3 weeks now. There are no spares in this country, still waiting for them to be airfrieghted into UK. Not dealers fault, contacted main Quadzilla dealer/importer via email 3 times, no response.
Soon as it's fixed I am getting rid.
This buggy has never been used off road or "raced", had been treated with care and has been serviced at the dealers.

Buggy now 5 moths old and deteriorating rapidly, would not recommend this buggy to anyone.
Contacted fasttoys.com who are the main importer/dealer, got no response(which is no surprise).
