I have used many hosts over the years, some good some bad, some cheaper and some more expensive. Today I setup and LCN account and installed Word Press with no problems at all, it was just so easy. LCN start by making contact easy - it is possible to pick up a telephone and talk to real people who are always happy to help their less technically able customers. Having been caught between Microsoft and my ISP each saying that my problem must be down to the other party I called LCN (who provide me with Domain Names, Hosting etc.) out of desperation and within minutes my problem was resolved. I have just migrated one of my domains and email hosting to LCN. I expected the migration to take several weeks based on past experiences. This successful migration has taken less than 24 hours. First, the bad points... The control panel is far too simplistic and if you want any advanced options you are told to purchase a VPS which in my opinion is not very good value for money. I am STILL having to use POP for my emails which is utterly disgraceful. 99% of other web hosting companies offer IMAP but LCN seem to be stuck in the early 2000s. The web hosting and support are good but badlly let down by the email service that is provided. E-mail message content configuration – only allows basic fonts. Out of the Office – automatic replies or forwarding for our e-mails not available. Signatures cannot be properly configured with the banners and fonts.
