Arrived at Shannon Airport to collect car, the quote was much higher than what I had agreed, refused to pay, got a cab to my hotel in Limerick City and the hotel put me in touch with a local Car Hire Company, Limerick Car Rentals www.limerickcarrental.ie. Car was delivered to the hotel free of charge, condition of vehicle was excellent and staff very helpful, and the price was 20% cheaper than the original quote. I thought that the price that I was paying on the internet was the total price for the car hire with Ireland Car Hire, it wasn't. When I querried the charges with Car Hire Ireland they said that the additional charges were by the supplier and I don't actually know what most of those were for. I've alrady arranged another airport car hire - with Hertz this time. (read more)
