I was pleasantly surprised after watching Orphan, I really didn't know what to expect. I originally thought this film was going to be based on a super-natural theme, think poltergeist and omen. However, the story line is very well thought out and proves to be more chilling than spooky.
The character of Esther in particular, is very well played out, and each member of the family has a substantial role to play. If you're into your horror flicks than I'd definitely recommend watching orphan… Read Full Review

Orphan is a horror film that definitely takes its inspiration from classic 70's horror films like The Omen and Rosemary's Baby. Following the still birth of their third child, Vera Farmiga (Kate) and Peter Sarsgaard (John) decide to adopt and choose a rather spooky looking orphanage run by nuns (never a wise move in horror movies).
