Service was great - easy and straightforward to use. I chose the option of paying £5 for the team to create our list for us - this worked really well and meant that we found some out of the way places to visit that we'd never have thought of going to and also did some activities that we would never have done as well. This was the perfect tool for us. We didn’t want any gifts as we have recently merged two households. Contributions to our honeymoon seemed the perfect idea. We had seen a couple of travel agents do this kind of thing, but it tied us to a travel agent and they didn’t seem the best value – and limited our choice especially for the specialist diving honeymoon we wanted. I cannot fault Buy Our Honeymoon. All went off without a hitch and worked well with PayPal too so we got the cash very easily. A great alternative to just asking for money for gifts and our friends and family thought it was a great idea. I first came across Buy Our Honeymoon when a friend got married last year. She recommended it and I was so impressed with the trial that I signed up. As stated by anoter reviewer, I found the restrictions to have all payments made to a paypal account pretty restrictive - it meant that I had to set up a paypal account specially and then they took a sizeable chunk of the donations made toward our honeymmoon as a commission. There is probably a warning about this in the fineprint but it would have been nice to be told outright when I signed up rather than only realising once the money was gone. Would recommend this 'idea' and definetly this site. We were unsure about asking for money and this really helped and it went down fantastic with others and so many said what a good idea - I think it then helped us get money (without sounding greedy) rather than the guest buying something they prefered rather than what we prefered. We chose to use Buy Our Honeymoon rather than any other due to the strength of designs we could choose from. The look and feel of our page was fantastic.

Only negative was with Paypal taking a percentage of the money donated to us but this is not Buy Our Honeymoon's fault. Perhaps BOH could set up their own payment donation system in the future?

A really excellent service that enabled us to bring together a range of items. We didn't really want a normal wedding list as we were encouraging family and friends to give to charity or buy items for our honeymoon.
It took about an hour to set up the website using a personalised theme perfect for our needs, and it was super-easy to keep track of who had bought items, to add more when we got low and to write thank-yous after the event.

It is rare that I am impressed by service standards, but Buy Our Honeymoon blew me away! This service is IMPECCABLE! Used the site for our wedding gift list and it was fab. Easy to set up, clear reasonable costing and they're very quick at getting back with any queries.
The themes are good to apply to your own honeymoon type. Ours was perfect for our Thai holiday.
It is just worth remembering that it's mainly based on using Paypal, who will take a cut from any money deposited there when you withdraw it. Depending on how lovely and generous your friends and family are, this cost does mount up.
