We love this site!

"We love this site!"

We had so much fun using Buy Our Honeymoon for our gift list! It's so easy to use but looks so professionally done. We loved that we could personalise it so much and it was a wonderful way of involving our friends and family in our honeymoon plans. Every little detail has been thought of (we especially loved that there's a choice of different website names for the list that can be sent to guests and that gifts can be priced in different currencies). It's good value for money, the customer service is excellent (thanks Shelley!) and we have had so many commments from friends and family saying how impressed they were by it and how much they enjoyed using it. People really felt part of our plans and felt they were choosing a special gift for us rather than just contributing to our honeymoon. The perfect solution for couples who don't want or need traditional wedding gifts.
Planning a wedding isn't always easy, but planning our gift list on Buy Our Honeymoon is something we really enjoyed and will remember as a really enjoyable and fun part of the wedding preparations! This site is so much better than any of the others we looked at. We can't fault it!

Really good site for wedding list with a twist!

I first came across Buy Our Honeymoon when a friend got married last year. She recommended it and I was so impressed with the trial that I signed up. It's a really easy site to use and whenever I had any queries (particularly about setting up PayPal which is the trickiest part)they were answered very quickly.

It was simple to add text and pictures and we made the list look like our own and fit in with our wedding very easily.

The business cards for the website that come as part of the package are very good and handy to pop in with the invites. We also liked the little documents that our guests could print off that stated exactly what they bought - many added these to the wedding cards on the day as an extra way of us identifying what each guest has bought us. I plan to add them to a scrap book of our honeymoon next to a photo of our gift.

We also found the Excel spreadsheet of the gift history a life saver and saves trawling through countless emails to access who bought us what when it comes to the 'thank yous'.

Numerous guests were impressed with our list and thought it a brilliant idea and I will definitely recommend it to friends getting married who don't want the usual gift list from a department store.

We loved the website, our family and friends found it so fun and easy to use and really enjoyed buying our honeymoon. It was easy to set up our site. The business cards were great to include in our wedding invites. It was so exciting seeing what each person bought for us and the downloadable spreadsheet was really helpful in writing thank you cards.

We weren't sure we wanted to have a wedding list at all, we don't need anything having lived together for 4 years already and we certainly didn't want to receive cold hard cash. We were told categorically by a number of our guests that we needed to do something and the only thing we could think of would be to have some help making our honeymoon really special. Buy Our Honeymoon was perfect. We were able to choose whatever items we wanted and completely tailor it to us. We were also able to have more traditional gift items on the list, not just holiday stuff. We had two gift reserves from this, and someone also used the 'suggest a gift' option which is a good addition as well.
We found it as flexible as we needed but also super-easy to use, which when you're planning a wedding is a god-send!
The best thing is the money goes straight into our paypal account, so there's no risk of not getting the gift/money if a company goes bust. The security and peace of mind this gave us was invaluable. I would definitely use it again if I were to get married again, but it will have to suffice at recommending it for now!

This website was so easy to use and I love the fact that you can personalise it and make it so individual to you and your husband (or wife!) to be. The customer service was exceptional and all my emails and queries were responded to within 24 hours, I was very impressed.

Not only was the website easy to set up but it is immediately available to your guests and easy for them to use as well.

I have nothing negative to say and would not hesitate in recommending this site to family and friends.

Paypal restrictions were off putting, question replies...

As stated by anoter reviewer, I found the restrictions to have all payments made to a paypal account pretty restrictive - it meant that I had to set up a paypal account specially and then they took a sizeable chunk of the donations made toward our honeymmoon as a commission. There is probably a warning about this in the fineprint but it would have been nice to be told outright when I signed up rather than only realising once the money was gone. Otherwise, the website is easy to use and email questiosn were answered within a day.

Fantastic in all aspects

Would recommend this 'idea' and definetly this site.

We were unsure about asking for money and this really helped and it went down fantastic with others and so many said what a good idea - I think it then helped us get money (without sounding greedy) rather than the guest buying something they prefered rather than what we prefered.


Just planning what to put on it was enjoyable and we also put 'traditional' items such as pots and pans on the list.

The site is soooo easy to use, you can continually go into it and change/ add things and the free cards whe nyou join were really handy to give out.

Easy and fun

The website is super easy to use. We really enjoyed setting our list up - it was a challenge thinking of fun things to do on honeymoon but cool too!

The format of the site helped us to make the layout funky and the comments personal so it fitted in with the theme of our wedding.

Then finally our guests loved it and were really generous! We had lots of fun doing all the activities and it has been great telling people how much we enjoyed doing we had doing all the things they chose.

Much much better than a new set of china ;)

I did a great deal of research into competing websites before finally setting up our honeymoon gift list with Buyourhoneymoon. I was so glad with the choice I made. The options to personalise the site were endless and that gave me the chance to really tailor the site to my specific requirements. I loved having the option to add photos of the actual gifts that we were asking for. Overall, the site was really easy to use and a huge number of our guests commented on the presentation. Other plus points for me include the e-mails when gifts are purchased and the ability to download all of the gift history into an Excel spreadsheet. I have already recommended the site to friends getting married next year.

We have had many comments from our guests about what a good idea it was to have a list with Buy Our Honeymoon. We chose to use Buy Our Honeymoon rather than any other due to the strength of designs we could choose from. The look and feel of our page was fantastic. Once we'd signed up it was so very easy to use and we even made use of the help to fill our list with other things people had put when going to the same destination. It was great getting the emails once people had bought something, and its been so much easier to make a note of what everyone gave us as we just download it from the site. I would recommend Buy Our Honeymoon to anyone.
