The hotel accommodations were great but my bank account as debited twice for the full hotel cost and it took BookIt.com almost two weeks to get this straightened out eventhough they acknowledge the error on the first day that I called. “Could be better and not what I thought.”

Rooms were not what I thought they would be, cooking area was small, game room machines didn't work properly. “Their website is chockfull of errors”

I've been trying to cancel a booking from their website for the past few days, and it's still showing as confirmed. If you're not able to cancel online, the website tells you to call their customer service. Customer service then lets you know that they will charge you $25 for changing it online. What a waste of time and money! After speaking to a customer service agent, they say that the cancellation will show up in 3 days online, and your refund comes back to you in 15 business days. I am not sure why- but on the reservation my name showed with a misspelled first name- kathllen instead of Kathleen- as soon as I saw it I called your number and got someone who wanted to cancel my reservations and redo them- when I said that seemed a little complicated he went on about the airfare increased ( in an hour ??? ) and it was going to cost almost 100 dollars - I called the airline who said it was a simple change and within 24 hours should be no charge- my last name was correct it… Read Full Review

“A trial in patience ”

The agent spoke so fast and kept getting things wrong, such as E-mails, spelling of names, the dates traveling and the airport of departure. Try getting on a plane with a wrong name spelling or better yet, leaving from the wrong airport??? She was polite and kept saying thank you each time a correction needed to be made. Bookit.com sent me an email saying i would get a 5% discount when booking any hotel room,using their promo code. This did NOT happen and when i contacted them they said that as the room was discounted already , the code would not work.ALL the rooms are discounted anyway , so why send me the email i asked !!??? “Mistakes”

“They messed up my vacation!”

I was on the internet,,Making perfect plans...'Book it' had me call them to finalize...my dates got confused in the translation...i confirmed them, mistakenly, because i assumed he was taking from my original plan on the computer data I had given him...He had asked for my plan #..... “poor site”

I used this site to book airfare, hotel and transportation to and from the airport. The site never emailed or gave a confirmation number, the transaction never seemed like it was completed. I waited awhile and tried again, the transaction did complete and booking # was provided. The following day at least 8 hours later the email came confirming one reservation. “Poorly Trained Personel outside the US”

“Tricky way of sale!”

When we plan to go on Dominican Republic and leaving on Sun March 9, '14 then the hotel would not have been charged on Mar 9. It should be on Mar 10, instead for 4 nights NOT 5 nights. The AA flight will be late at night on Sunday 3/9 an overnight flight. This is tricky or your programmer do not know how to program the time differences. If we want to leave earlier then you will charge additional to modify it and the Airline will do the same to us! We feel being trick for such a cheaper… Read Full Review

“Surprise fees”

Book the Hawks Cay resort for what I thought was a real deal... The nice gentleman on bookit told me about the "resort fee" but I assumed everything was included in the price (as other booking web sires do)... I was surprised to find that it wasn't and had to pay an extra $60... The price isn't the issue, it's the extra hassle/stress involved in arguing with the hotel staff and then finding out you are wrong... “flights booked were NOT the ones I agreed to”

Flights for my trip were booked yesterday. Took 2 hours on phone. When flights were emailed to me they were all the wrong flights, NOT what I agreed to. This morning they wanted to charge me additional $1200 to book the flights I had originally agreed to. “First experience - NOT good!”

My boyfriend and I were booking our first vacation together, we found what we wanted online and ordered it over the phone with a bookit travel agent. The young man we dealt with was WONDERFUL! I bought a Hotel package for my Husband and I for Christmas, at the time of booking everything was great, we even got a free upgrade for a deluxe Junior suite with Jacuzzi, everything was done, you got the money. “Price online differs from amount charged to credit card”

I found the best price around on BookIt.com, but the only problem I had with the site is that the price they offered online did not match the amount they charged to my credit card. There also was no mention of discrepancies before they charged my credit card. I should have been notified beforehand and be allowed to continue with the reservation or not. I will do that. When I made my hotel reservation for two nights I even looked at the breakdown. I was able to see the per night rate and the taxes and fees. My total was x dollars. I even captured the screen on my cell phone showing the breakdown. I will gladly show this to your representative when I email them. However, once I received my confirmation from you I was billed y dollars. There was no explanation as to the price difference. I wasn't even notified. I was simply billed the new rate and found out once I looked at my receipt. I even checked with my credit card company to verify the amount and I was indeed charged the newly inflated rate. Even though the difference was minimal, it only makes me a little cautious should one day I have an interest in purchasing something a little more expensive with you like European airline tickets. How much more will be tacked on should I book with you??? That's what concerns me.

Funny, but it's been three days since I sent an email to the address this company told to inquire with, yet after 72 hours there has been NO RESPONSE. I love how companies like these are so quick to post a "caring" response to their negative reviews, yet fail to deliver what they promise. This only proves to me more that this is not a company I can rely on nor have trust in. This booking will indeed be my first and last booking with them. There are other more reliable places to give my business to.

To date, my account had been credited the overcharge and this matter has been resolved. Thank you for your assistance. I strongly recommend someone within your company fix this problem with your website because there is nothing worse than being billed incorrectly then having to have the problem corrected either by writing back and forth or making telephone calls which can be time consuming.
