    These Mutant MT120 subs are about as cheap as you can get, I had 2 in my car and they where quite loud, although did seem to distort the sound at higher volumes. If you are starting out and dont have much money, these are the speakers for you. When I had these, I made sure I invested in some good 6x9s to run along side, the sound was much improved.
