“good products & prices but beware”

The bed and mattress I ordered together are good quality and great price. If you order together though don't expect them to be delivered together. I gave a delivery date and was notified the day before then again no the delivery day of expected time of delivery - I expected both items together but only the mattress arrived at allocated time. On telephoning the company was told bed would be delivered on the day by a different company who did not send out notifications so basically you have to block the whole day to wait. Secondly - the bed size was given at top of description - it said Size: Small single 75 X 190 cm Scrolling down the description in small print at the bottom it said a different size Dimensions : 203 x 80 x 91 cm I didn't see this and the bed was too big for the space I had. The first size I suspect was the mattress. It was a drama that involved taking out skirting boards to get into the space. So check the small print!

“Website information wrong!”

I have no problem with the Maya Wooden bedframe that was bought - that appears to be ok as a product (assuming it doesn't break within a few months) My issue is with the incorrect information displayed on the website. Under "Delivery" the website quite clearly says (in 2 different places) that there is no extra charge for a Saturday delivery. I was charged but went ahead thinking - "That is a mistake, I can sort it out afterwards". WRONG. BedroomWorld just kept saying "That is the charge". Then, the email telling us that the product was on its way and should reach us soon was sent about 20 hours AFTER the bed was delivered. Not much use at all.

“change delivery service!!”

I ordered a jemime bed and mattress for my daughter which turned up on the day that I requested, but even though the confirming email said that 2 people would deliver it turned out to be just one. He then said that he should leave it outside as they aren't allowed to enter the house but as I was holding a baby he would on this occasion, which I thought was a bit strange. I never noticed the packaging was demaged as that was facing the other way, turns out the metal headboard was demaged- being a Saturday that we discovered this their customer service only work Monday to Friday. So I emailed them with photos of the demage but heard nothing til Thursday when I phoned them, I can't fault their customer service as she arranged for a new headboard to be delivered within 3-5 working days (delivered within 2 working days). But once again the packaging was demaged so I said I would open it before I signed for it, got told he had no time for that just sign it as damaged. Thankfully it was fine and the beds made and looking great. Really think they should change delivery company they use as it did cost me £20 to have it delivered!! I would have to think twice before I use them again.

“Bed good , delivery not!”

Ordered bed on Wednesday with delivery advised as Friday. Time taken off work but no show. But tracker showed that packages in Aberdeen warehouse!Called local delivery office who must be the only courier not to be working on second last Saturday before Christmas- no one available. Called BedroomWorld who couldn't do anything but was promised that we'd be called by area manager-no call, shock! On Monday I advised that I would collect from depot, tracker advised that it was out for delivery so called office to ask if driver could call once 20 minutes away. Needless to say he didn't but I was luckily at home. Put bed up in an hour so no problems there but very disappointed in delivery fiasco! Never again from BedroomWorld I'm afraid unless they change couriers (XPD EXpress)

“Good pricing but very difficult to contact”

Ordered 4 beds and 4 mattresses for our new letting rooms. Order process was simple but no VAT receipt issued. Delivery was in three stages spread over 7 days which was very inconvenient. Attempted to contact Bedroom world but no answer on the phone Tried the tracking link but not working tried the contact us link which also didn't work..... In summary everything turned up but after sales service is v poor.

“all good apart from the delivery company!”

Our bed was delivered as stated on the day and time that we asked for and we have since put it together and we love it, no problems at all apart from the delivery company! The delivery man brought the bed to our front door in 3 seperate boxes and he left them in the front hallway, he never once asked what room I wanted them in and when I indicated to him that I was going to struggle by myself to get them upstairs, he just looked and asked for my signature so he could get to his next drop! When I read my invoice it stated that the delivery company will take them to the roo that we asked them to! Not a chance I will use the service again if you use the same delivery company

“Confusing delivery service”

Ordered bedbase and headboard on 4th jan given delivery date of 6th jan arranged day off work to accept delivery, received email on 5th jan to say delivery could not be made and further delivery information could not be given someone would be in touch within 48hrs to give me more information! I looked online at previous reviews and wished i had looked here before ordering because the reviews were not favourable! However on 6th jan i had 2 txts from delivery company saying my bed base would be delivered between 9-6 on that day! I waited in all day and at 5.30 still no bed so i rang the delivery company who assured me i would get my bed! The delivery man arrived at around 7.30 he was very pleasant and apologised for the late delivery he helped me get the bed into chosen room. I had sent an email to bedroomworld stating my delivery had not arrived within the times stated and someone rang me back next day to apologise, my headboard was delivered the following day. I am happy with the quality of the products and the price i paid maybe the delivery service just needs a little tweaking to avoid confusion to customers!

“Assembly”

It would have been an easier job to assemble the bed with better instructions. One problem was 'clip the two parts together'. You can't do that with one part having a solid base. (Had to be inventive). Second problem involved the headboard. Screws were supplied but no prepared screw holes to fit them in. (Had to be inventive again). Delivery on time and service impeccable.

“Got what i paid for!”

I wanted a spare double bed with a little storage. I paid 219.00 so i got a 219.00 worth bed. The base is topped with hard cardboard, the mattress seems comfortable. the chap who delivered it was on his own so i had to help him. i dont think this bed would be good for constant use. nice colour and easy to set up.

“DUBIOUS BUT PLEASANTLY SURPRISED!”

I ordered the Valencia Black King-size Leather bed and the Novaro 1000 Pocket Sprung Ortho mattress in the early hours of Thursday morning with the option to select the delivery day of Friday (the next day) which I was extremely pleased about. NO! I did not receive delivery and my items were not shown as dispatched. The company should not offer a service that they cannot provide, it is misleading and very disheartening. I spent over 45 on hold to the After Sales department (probably just a single person sat in an office) and tweeted about how I was not happy. Amazingly, within 10 minutes I had received a Direct Message and phone call which informed me there had been a problem with my order which was rectified, marked as dispatched and I was provided with tracking information. I found the lady that rang me very pleasant and she even called back to update me and check how my delivery had been. I was promised delivery on the Monday and eagerly watched the tracking information updating on the couriers website. Although the delivery slot was later than I was told - it was an AM slot but did not arrive until 3PM and despite being a 2 man job, the driver was alone in a transit van, luckily my other half provided the muscle to bring the packages in - I received a full order. I am impressed with the quality of the bed and mattress for the price, there is a little poor workmanship where staples were put over holes needed for the screws, despite that it has been great. I would recommend Bedroom World if your on a budget, just be aware that problems may arise with your order and your more than likely not going to be getting the next day delivery that you paid for.

“Single bed and mattress package”

I used the site to buy a single bed and mattress for my son. Quick and easy to use web site. The fact that even though the bed frame and mattress were purchased in the same order, they were sent buy two desperate courier companies which was highly annoying. One was delivered at 11am. Then had to stay in the house for the other to then turn up at 5.35pm, thus wasting a full day. The bed frame itself was simple and easy to build. The big disappointment is that it is too small for the mattress, even though the mattress came up as a suggested buy when I selected the frame. It's more than just a tight fit. At the end of the day, the lesson here is, you get what you pay for. Cheap bed, cheap mattress, cheap quality.

“Easy Ordering. Fast Delivery.”

This bed offered the option of plenty of storage at a great price and being in a smaller apartment I thought it would be perfect, and in many ways it is. My only issues were/are: One of the legs of the bed arrived damaged and I did have to haul the thing up four flights of stairs myself but overall I am quite pleased with the purchase. Everything arrived on time and but it was not as pictured on the website. The difference was purely stylistic and not functional though so I don't mind too much. I would have preferred if there was some kind of base/bottom in the storage compartment of the bed; it simply opens up to reveal the floor which is not exactly what I was looking for. If we had wooden floors it would definitely have gone back but with the carpet I suppose it will fulfil its purpose for the time being.

“Average all round!”

I ordered a bed and mattress online for next day delivery and was told I would receive an email confirmation that it was on its way. No email came so I called customer services in the morning and was told by an unhelpful girl that it depended who the suppliers were if an email would come but I should still get the delivery. She wouldn't take the order details to check as she wasnt in sales! She wouldnt transfer me either as they were busy. The order did arrive by the end of the day. It wasn't a great experience. I would be unlikely to recommend this company but maybe you gets what you pay for.

“great service but bed not up to scratch when assembling”

Very speedy service. However, the instructions on how to put the frame together referred to holes that hadn't been drilled! They also said the use of power tools invalidated any warranty or guarantee so not really very helpful.

“Lack of care”

Bed arrived ok, when unpacked noise of something loose in the headboard, on assembly found out that the plastic parts that hold the wooden slats in place were all the same kind so that I could not complete assembly, also the hydrolic rods that allow the bed to rise and lower were solid and would not budge. Was told by you that they are vey stiff to start but would loosen off but this was not the case they were so solid that all the force I could apply to them would still not move them. When assembled to the bed that too was no better in fact when I tried to push the bed frame down the frame started to buckle and the hydrolic rods still would not budge. I'am still awaiting for this to be resolved. It seems that lack of care at dispatch led to the wrong parts and faulty parts being sent out.

“ordered a set of bunkbeds and 2 mattress's”

ordereed on weds delivery was to be the friday,i chose this company as they could let me know at order stage when delivery would be. there was a £15 delivery charge.2 mattress's arrived early friday morning but no bed, rang bedroom world and was told bed was being del seperately. bed arrived fri lunch, when we unpacked half the bed was missing.rang sat morn,told to send email did and received a reply back saying box 3 had been rerouted and not be able to get an answer back until mon from the couriers, was promised a phone call back.no phone call and couldn't get through by phone so sent another email.answer phone message left saying hopefully be del tues but no guarantee due to weather.tues came and went took another day off work,another email sent. t/call weds morning saying bed was coming{no apologies)bed arrived weds p.m. husband up till 10pm putting them together.instructions were rubbish kids were dissappointed they had to wait so long for them and i lost 2 days hol. am happy with the product but not the overall experience

“metal bed & memory foam mattress”

The Rebecca frame is good value for money but when you fit the slats the centre metal bar is very flimsy and bends easily when you insert the plastic slat holders. We got the wrong memory foam matt delivered and after a few calls and sending pictures of the wrong mattress finally got the correct one. The memory magic foam is very good to sleep on. It was not a smooth experience for our first purchase.

“good, but can be better”

I thought the site was good and easy to use, I got regular updates reminding me of my tracking order code which I thought was good. The best part was that you could chose what day you wanted it delivered so you knew what day you needed to be in. However the emails I recieved said that we would get a call or text in advance of delivery to make sure someone was in to sign for the package, this didnt happen luckily someone was in when mine was delivered but if an email states that something will happen it should happen weather it takes more time or not, otherwise dont put it onto the email.

We bought a super king bed and mattress off them, The bed came within 10 days but had to wait a further 2 days for the mattress, but that was only because it needed 2/3 people to carry it as it was a super king mattress, we have had no trouble with the bed or the mattress, and we have had it for almost a year. hope this helps.

My experience of them and the quality of their beds supplied to me I would never purchase anything from them again. I would never recommend them to anyone. I may have been unlucky looking at the other responses to your question but I will not be dealing with them again.

I ordered a double bed, when it arrived it was unusable as the slats kept collapsing. It took several weeks to get in touch with the company and get the problem sorted. When I'd eventually spoken to them on several occasions they agreed to pick up the faulty item but never showed up, delaying my refund further. Also I was annoyed to find that I had £20 worth of premium rate phone calls to the customer service number, and calls that were never answered had cost me money. They do this by a machine answering your call and saying stay on the line, then it rings for 10 minutes and cuts off. Somehow they charge you for your call from the time the machine answers even though its ringing. So it's up to you if you take a chance with this company, but if something goes wrong with your order you'll be in for a rough time
