I was dreading this flight as many of the reviews I had read were poor. We have flown with Virgin, Air Frand and Iberia to cuba and I can honestly say this airline was great value for money. Virgin fly direct to havana so if you want to pay £400 more for the return fligh and get better in flight entertainment, food and get their quicker then that's fine. The seat pitch was much better than the other airlines and we were able to sit 2 together rather than in a 3 which is always more... (read more)

From the first minutes on board, when the pilot began to back away from the gate even while passengers were still making their way to their seats, this airline was clearly going to be trouble. The situation was not helped at all by flight attendants who completely ignored the requests of passengers, handed out beverages to some but not all (even though one has to pay for them) and so passengers had to chase after them to be served; and by ground personnel who violated the airline's own... I have flown twice with AirEuropa and both times it was terrible. They have all these fancy adverts touting "the newst fleet in Europe" but in two different routes the planes were very old with miserable on board entertainment.BA, KLM, Iberia offer much better service and facilities, which are really needed for long haul flights. The food as terrible, service surly, and to add insult to injure, the flights were always delayed. If I wanted this level of service I'd rather fly a low cost... (read more)

Madrid to Gran Canaria (March 31, 2012) I bought the tickets directly on Air-Europa website. They simply did not inform me that the flight UX9164 was postponed from 15h05m to 18h45m. And the flight was delayed by about 5 hours relative to the new schedule. They said that they had a technical problem with the plane but given their total disregard for their passengers, I strongly doubt it (I simply think that they decided to pack all passengers of various planed flights that day to Gran... I won't take too much of space here. In plain and simple words never travel by this airline. Mis managed flight timings, totally mismanaged customer service, and food is out of this world. This is the worst airline I have EVER experienced. Flew long haul to Havana, Cuba. The planes are old; the staff are very rude; absolutely no sense of customer service; the food is awful; and the flight entertainment is a joke (i.e. in a ten hour flight they showed one film which was The Smurfs). This was the worst airline that I have ever flown with. Our flight from London to Madrid was late so we had to run for the connecting flight. The flight Madrid to Havana was 10 hours long. Flew with Air Europa way back in 1999 from MAD to ALC, and also from LGW to MAD several times. We were only ones charged for extra luggage. Many others had much larger luggage and were not charged. We were charged 3 times the ticket price which means I could have offered to fly someone to Madrid if they took my bags for 1/3 the price . Our agent in NY that operated the Air Europa office said we should have same luggage restrictions as our intnl. ticket and lastly either way they never (to date and it has been hundreds of requests over 3 months) responded to us. But I'm going to guess by the tone of your comment you are troll and ignore your further comments.

I had a similar experience flying from Paris to Valenca. I leave in Canada and customer service is a serious word down there, but for Air Europa customer service is a joke.
