Canon PowerShot D10
18 May 2009

Pros
Waterproof to 10m, drop-proof to 1.2m, dust-proof, easy to use, well designed

Cons
Images lack contrast, sometimes overexposes shots in bright sunlight

Verdict
The design of the Canon PowerShot D10 is spot-on for a ruggedised camera. It feels good to use and, most importantly, it's very easy to use. It takes clear photos but we wish it rendered them with more contrast. Pick it up if you're after a ruggedised ...

Canon PowerShot D10 Underwater Cam And New A-se...
20 Feb 2009

Summary
Canon's first waterproof compact looks like a little plastic gem from the ocean while the new A-series colors put Barbie to shame. Read about the new Canon PowerShot D10, A2100 IS, A1100 IS and A480 IS here.

Verdict
The new 12-megapixel Canon PowerShot D10 is unlike any camera we've ever come across, resembling a little plastic pillow with angled corners. The Canon PowerShot D10 looks more like something we'd expect to find in Toys 'R' Us than Best Buy, but that ...

Canon PowerShot D10
11 May 2009

Summary
canon powershot d10 review: Canon's first attempt at an underwater camera is pretty impressive. There are a couple of areas to improve on like its video implementation and overall design, but for the most part the PowerShot D10 gets it right.

Pros
Quick performance ; Extensive range of accessories ; Best rugged credentials in its class ; Fast lens

Cons
Fiddly battery/card cover ; Chromatic aberration quite prominent ; Digital-only zoom in movie mode ; No HD video

Canon PowerShot D10
11 May 2009

Summary
An action-cam for use underwater and in other camera unfriendly environments. Yet ruggedness demands a compromise in performance.

Verdict
At just under £400, the PowerShot D10 is not cheap, especially when you consider that you can get a decent DSLR for the same price. That said, you can't use your DSLR underwater without any protection. As a camera for using in extreme conditions, the ...

Summary
The 12-megapixel PowerShot D10 adds a welcome splash of style to the ruggedised camera market. Although it's not as shockproof as some of its rivals and the basic 3x zoom is nothing to shout about, it's waterproof to an impressive 10m and the lens is ...

Pros
Wacky styling and classy colour scheme ; 10m depth rating ; very sharp fine detail

Cons
Limited zoom range ; barrel distortion at minimum zoom ; fat body doesn&apos ; t make it any easier to grip

Verdict
Canon's one of the latecomers to the emerging underwater-camera market, but the wait's been worth it, because the PowerShot D10 is very, very different. It adds a real splash of style to a sector populated by some pretty staid-looking cameras. The D10 ...

Canon PowerShot D10

Summary
It's quite an investment for a compact at £320, but with high quality sharp images, great tones and a reliable stabilisation system the Canon PowerShot D10 is a top performer.

Olympus X15
15 Dec 2008

The Olympus X15 is a compact and easy to use "autofocus" type digital camera. It offers 8MP resolution, which shows quite clearly on my 1080i LCD TV without blurring.
I like the obvious Olympus digital camera quality, and the good value for money. Fully recommended as a perfect Christmas present!

Kodak EasyShare Z650
28 Jul 2008

The Kodak EasyShare Z650 is a good value camera if a little large. I'd recommend this with some caveats to a friend. It's old technology now but respectable when it was new. It is far better than most mobile phone cameras and I find it very handy while out with a real camera as it's light.

Canon PowerShot SD700
12 Feb 2008

I really like my Canon PowerShot SD700 IS it is an easy to use 6MP compact camera. The features are excellent and plentiful whilst keeping the quality. Only negatives that I found were the price and the size of power button which I found to be a bit fiddly but you soon get over that.
