The Sony Ericsson W995 has an average quality, the design is quite sleek as well as its features. The phone came out a bit pricey but I guess you weren't that ripped-off too much.
If you're a diehard fanatic of Sony Ericsson, there are other models to choose from.

when i first got the sony ericsson w995 phone it was great but now there are the occasional crashes and i have only had it less than a month the screen scratched really easy and the camera :O ,,i used to have a k800 and i would say it would challenge it. the battery life is really good though.overall i would say for the money it isn't that good a phone.

The Sony Ericsson W995 is not bad for a freebie from 3. However I'm starting to regret continuing my contract with them as the area covered by their masts seems to diminish by the week. The screen quality is pretty average for a phone but not nearly as good as a Blackberry or iPhone, but then I suppose it's not a touch screen and doesn't have the hefty price tag either.

The sound quality of the headset is poor when making calls but the speaker phone option is good enough to use as a hands fre ...

Sony Ericsson W995
17 Feb 2009

Summary
sony ericsson w995 review: It's the Sony Ericsson Walkman we've been crying out for. Matching the best of its music range with an 8-megapixel camera is great, add a 3.5mm headphone jack and the W995 looks like pure gold.

Pros
Excellent battery life ; Good basic phone functionality ; Media Go software is fantastic

Cons
Screen is too small for video ; Poor built-in web browser ; 8MP camera takes average pics ; Bundled headphones plug into charging port

Hands-on with the Sony Ericsson W995
18 Feb 2009

Summary
Overall, the W995's design is very similar to other Walkman phones. It comes in three colors--energetic red, progressive black, and cosmic silver--but we're partial to the bright red. At 3.8 inches tall by 1.9 inches wide by 0.6 inch thick, it casts a ...

Sony Ericsson's W995 goes the extra media mile
15 Feb 2009

Summary
And just to prove that miracles do happen, Sony Ericsson broke down and included a 3.5mm headset jack. We're not sure what made the company change its mind, but we couldn't care less.

Summary
Beyond its Walkman player, 8.1-megapixel camera and Wi-Fi connectivity, the Sony Ericsson W995 offers a YouTube player and new Media Go transfer software.

Verdict
Of course, we hope that Sony Media Go will be in a different league than the now defunct Sony Connect. The software promises to synchronize media automatically, and will automatically convert videos to 240 x 320 pixels for playback on the Sony ...

Sony Ericsson W995a
3 Jun 2009

Pros
The Sony Ericsson W995a has a brilliant display and a loaded feature set that includes Wi-Fi and 3G. It also offers a 3.5-millimeter headset jack and a kickstand

Cons
The Sony Ericsson W995a keypad doesn't feel sturdy and e-mail support is limited. Call quality could be variable and videos were unimpressive

The Sony Ericsson W995a suffers from some design concerns and performance issues, but it remains an attractive and functional music phone.

Sony Ericsson W995 review

Summary
Is it a Cyber-shot, with it's 8-megapixel camera, or is this unlocked phone all Walkman inside? We decide in our Sony Ericsson W995 review.

Pros
Great music features, with an improved interface and management software. Surprisingly robust GPS features

Cons
Doesn't quite measure up to similarly-equipped smartphones. Camera and Web browsing features come up short. Call quality and battery life disappoint

Sony Ericsson W995 review

Summary
The Sony Ericsson W995 is perhaps one of the most important and interesting offerings in Sony Ericsson's 2009 portfolio. As clearly suggested by the product name the phone is a high-end class Walkman phone, but that's not all. Sony Ericsson launched ...

Verdict
One could think of the W995 as a lighter and improved music edition of the C905, although lacking the brilliant xenon flash found exclusively in the manufacturer's imaging handsets for the time being. This means that the W995 not only features a very ...

Samsung J600
16 Apr 2008

Samsung J600? Not worth £60, you may as well just get a low range Nokia that only texts and phones people... The Samsung J600 is hard to use, poor camera and i can go on... the most disappointing thing is that the person who sold it to me said it would be compatible with vista - it isn't! Don't buy it! If you are a fan of songs this will be a huge let down as the program to add files has not even worked!

Sony Ericsson W595
3 Feb 2009

Sony Ericsson W595 is smart looking, takes great pictures, easy to make and transfer videos. Only bad point from me is the back seems awkward to remove due to feeling flimsy. Great all rounder, great functions, and if anyone can show me a smarter looking phone....i'll buy it.

Sony Ericsson W580i
15 Jan 2008

My phone has been sent back to the manufacturing company 4 times and everytime it has come back the key pads have cracked , now they said this was due to the first batch being faulty. However that isn't true as you had to wait a month for Sony Ericsson to order a new batch.. which therefore is the first batch.. and again my keypad buttons cracked .. and now I got a brand new replacement ,, and the screen was flickering .. and Orange store in Taunton had the cheek to say the flickering is part...

Nokia 5800 XpressMusic
27 May 2009

The Nokia 5800 Tube Xpress Music is a pretty decent all round phone and MP3 player.
I wanted to do away with having to charge 2 items, both a phone and an MP3 player so I got hold of one of these on Orange's Dolphin Pay Monthly tariff and have not looked back.

There may be better out there with the Tocco maybe but I'm in no need to look for a better phone as this one does the job pretty well indeed.

The only criticism is that I bought my own earphones to use and when you...
