AT&T Nabbing the QWERTY-Equipped LG Xenon
24 Sep 2008

Summary

LG Xenon - Blue (AT&T)
10 Apr 2009

Pros
The LG Xenon has an attractive touch-screen display, a great QWERTY keyboard, customizable standby screens, plenty of shortcuts, and lots of features like 3G speeds, quad-band support, a 2-megapixel camera, GPS, and more

Cons
The LG Xenon suffers from the lack of POP or IMAP e-mail support, the touch screen suffers from a slight learning curve, the Web browser feels a little clunky, and you're limited to only six widgets to customize the home screen

Verdict
Despite a few problems, the LG Xenon is one of the better messaging phones we've seen, plus it has a cool touch-screen interface and plenty of features.

LG Xenon

Summary
Can there be such a thing as a phone that will knock consumers off their feet? Can a cell phone deliver something completely new and provide consumers with something they have been missing? Well, that is quite a tall order, as any phone attempting to ...

Pros
While the phone comes with 100MB of memory, it possesses an increase capacity of 16GB. That is an ENORMOUS amount of memory that very few phones can match much less top ; A full QWERTY keyboard ; A three megapixel camera ; The phone features a large ...

Cons
Those looking for the aforementioned "knock your socks off" phone will not discover anything wildly out of the ordinary here, as it is basically a standard phone with a few innovations. For some, that is a plus. For others looking for something a ...

Verdict
Not a bad phone and not a bad purchase. All essential features that one would expect in a phone are present, along with some additional ones that are quite innovative. Some may look for a more supped up phone and that is ok. For those who want a solid ...

LG Xenon
16 Apr 2009

Summary
What's hot: Compact, good keyboard.

Pros
Very compact for a touch screen phone with a full QWERTY keyboard. Good keyboard. Reasonably priced for the features it offers

Cons
Reception not very strong, user interface inconsistencies make the phone less fun and pleasing (accelerometer works in just a few apps, some apps rotate while others don't, lack of an on-screen QWERTY, scrolling through lists isn't easy)

Verdict
. Granted these are higher tier phones on Verizon, but we'd like to see more polished software from LG's touch screen phones on AT&T.

Summary
The Xenon is LG's latest attempt to merge touch phone on the outside with QWERTY messaging phone on the inside. Does the result taste as good as it sounds?

LG Xenon
10 Jul 2009

Pros
QWERTY keyboard, shortcut keys, responsive and well-designed interface, shortcuts and widget home screens

Cons
Design is a little underwhelming, slider wiggles when opened, excessive and unalterable Telstra customisation, no 3.5mm headphone jack, no social-networking apps, poor value Telstra plans

Verdict
LG's Xenon isn't a bad little phone, but its design is a little underwhelming and we would have liked native applications for social-networking sites. On the current Telstra plan it's hard to see any value in this device, especially considering the ...

LG Xenon
6 Aug 2009

Summary
The LG Xenon GR500 is a lightweight slider phone aimed at the texting generation. Unlike many sliders with a QWERTY keyboard, the Xenon is a full-blown touch-screen phone. It's styled to look like a bulky RAZR imitator, complete with a small "chin" at ...

Pros
Solid call quality. Good music and video playback. Compact for a QWERTY slider

Cons
Non-standard headphone jack. Bland UI needs a little work in spots

Verdict
It's tough to fault the LG Xenon, a powerful slider phone that can handle media tasks with aplomb.

Sony Ericsson K850i

I have now had the Sony Ericsson K850i for over a year and still very impressed with it. It is slightly heavier and chunkier than most phones out today but with that I have found its less likely to get damaged or for the screen to break when its dropped. Believe me, this phone has had alot drops but the screen has stayed unbroken and unscratched.
I did have to replace this phone after two months because I accidentally dropped it in the washing up bowl in my kitchen! So that's not...

Samsung U600

This phone is a nightmare. I have had nothing but trouble with it since last July. Freezing while trying to text, switching itself off when it feels like it, despite being in area of good coverage, deciding it has none and cannot ring out or no-one ring me!! And the strangest one of all, when someone rings an image of a computer screen comes up! That one even fooled the guys at carephone warehouse!

This phone has been in to be fixed numerous times but plays up within days of...
