Samsung Instinct S30: Instinct S30
25 Apr 2009

Summary
Phone fans had been hoping that Sprint's next-gen version of the Samsung Instinct smartphone would drop weight and beef up on specs. Then, at CTIA 2009, the Instinct S30 ($130 after rebates, with a two-year contract) premiered. Let's just say that the ...

Pros
Slimmer profile, smooth lines feel great in hand 32GB of internal memory

Cons
Still no Wi-Fi Weak camera capabilities

Verdict
Samsung has done a solid job on both the original Instinct and the S30; either way, you have to admire the extensive feature list and sharp design you get for the price. But Wi-Fi support, better camera specs, and a snazzier user interface all seem ...

Samsung Instinct s30 SPH-M810 (Sprint)
5 Jun 2009

Summary
The Samsung Instinct M800 was part of the first wave of last year's iPhone knockoffs. But unlike most clones, the Instinct was actually quite good, and ended up being one of Sprint's best-selling phones ever. This time around, Samsung infused the new ...

Pros
Responsive touch panel. Good camera and video recorder. Plenty of mobile media features, all of which are included in Sprint's Everything plan

Cons
Low-res screen. No Wi-Fi. Reception could be stronger. Some clumsy interface elements

Verdict
Samsung's Instinct is still a far cry from the iPhone, even with the latest refresh. But it's loaded with features and brings some of the same, simplified touch-interface magic to Sprint subscribers.

Review: Samsung Instinct S30
4 May 2009

Summary
Samsung takes another stab at the basic Instinct. The S30 is an all-around better phone than its predecessor, but it's still far from perfect.

Summary
With more features and a lower price than the original Instinct, the updated s30 version is a solid handset choice for Sprint.

3 May 2009

Summary
The new Samsung Instinct S30 for Sprint takes the winning capabilities of the original and packs them into a much sexier form factor - but adds little else. We take the S30 out for a test to see how the little tweaks and updates add up in this review, ...

Verdict
We honestly expected more from the follow-up to the original Samsung Instinct.

Pros
The Samsung Instinct S30 offers a slick design, bigger external memory, and an attractive touch-screen interface. Features are respectable and the call quality is satisfactory

Cons
The Samsung Instinct S30's video quality is erratic and it lacks Wi-Fi and camera editing options. In a disappointing move, Samsung and Sprint downgraded the EV-DO support

Verdict
The Samsung Instinct S30 has its good points, but Samsung and Sprint missed the opportunity to make a better device.

Samsung Instinct S30 Review - Phone Reviews by ...
27 Apr 2009

Summary
When the original Samsung Instinct came out 10 months ago, it made quite a splash not only thanks to Sprint's mega-marketing campaign that pitted it against the 2G iPhone but because it packed a lot of features into a touch screen feature phone. ...

Pros
Attractive, large display, supports every Sprint service for multimedia and navigation. Good GPS performance

Cons
Sprint TV performance is weak, touch screen OS is starting to look clunky compared to other models on the market (notably Samsung's Touch Wiz phones like the Eternity, Impression, Memoir and Behold along with the iPhone). Sorry, no WiFi here

Verdict
The Instinct S30, like the original Instinct, is a fun phone that's ripe with features. From Sprint TV to GPS to music and web, it's got the goods. More attractive than the original Instinct, the S30 really offers no other incentive to upgrade. EVDO ...

LG KU990 Viewty
8 Jul 2008

The LG Viewty is a brilliant representation of technology today. On one fairly small handset you can store your word documents, your pictures, your flash content, and you can doodle on your photos! The LG Viewty is very entertaining, it is efficient and smart-looking. The camera is amazing quality, and provides everything a phone needs. However, infra-red would be good, and more accurate handwriting recognition would be nicer. But overall I have so far thoroughly enjoying the KU990 and I...

Samsung Tocco F480
27 Aug 2008

I've had major problems with the call dropping on the Samsung Tocco. Unfortunately I could not get back to the shop in time. Anyway I got it back with the firmwire upgraded to E2. I had my fingers crossed and thought it would all be ok. But no, it has exactly the same problems. Back to retailer for me. I've had enough but don't know what to do about it!

Sony Ericsson W760i
21 May 2008

The Sony Ericsson W760i has a brilliant camera, the phone has great looks and is very stylish, the phone also has quality sound when playing music. The touch screen button can be difficult to use, and also the phone can have a tendency to freeze. Overall, I think that it is a brilliant phone, with a fantastic camera and i would strongly recommend it!!
