Samsung Impression: Impression
2 May 2009

Summary
The Samsung Impression ($200 with a two-year contract as of 5/1/09) has an extraordinarily bright and clear display--the first commercially available AMOLED (active-matrix organic light-emitting diode) screen. Throw in a roomy full QWERTY keyboard, an ...

Pros
Gorgeous AMOLED display Great multimedia features

Cons
No camera flash No 3.5mm headphone jack

Verdict
Regrettably, the Impression's 3-megapixel camera disappoints, which is a shame since photos look so fantastic on the AMOLED display. Because the Impression lacks a flash--a surprising omission given its other features--the snapshots I took in low ...

Samsung Impression

Summary
What's hot: Fantastic AMOLED display.

Pros
Fantastic looking, large touch screen that's responsive. Excellent keyboard, strong video playback performance, good GPS. TouchWiz is fun to use and very easy to learn. Samsung's latest widgets make the phone easier to use. Very good HTML web browser

Cons
Large and heavy phone by feature phone standards. Reception is middle of the road. Limited email accounts supported. No 3.5mm jack

Verdict
The Samsung Impression is a powerful and fun feature phone. Its strong suit is multimedia thanks to the fantastic 3.2" AMOLED display, excellent CV streaming video playback and local video playback. The web browser, as with the Eternity, is one of the ...

Sony Ericsson K810i

I see some people raving about the battery life with the Sony Ericsson K810i; personally I didn't like it. It's definitely a 'charge every day' phone, although I am quite a heavy user.
Like any phone with a big screen it's subject to becoming grimy and covered with fingermarks, hey ho, that's just the price you pay for such a big screen I guess.
Other than that it's a good phone that I can't really fault.

Samsung F700
2 Apr 2008

Most upset at touch screen not responding to answer and end calls - so much so that I wanted to change to a different model, but of course I was out of the 14 day period! (Thought it was just me getting used to it at first but it became apparent it was the phone.) Phoned customer services who told me that they had had no complaints about this model and told me to take it back to the shop for repair. Took it back to the shop and they told me the same - also said if it's my fault would not be...

Motorola RIZR Z8
3 Oct 2008

The Motorola RIZR Z8 phone drives me mad - it's SO un-user friendly and unstable!!! For instance when you create a calendar entry, instead of displaying "OK" or "Save" it lists only "Cancel" which then gives you the Question 'Do you wish to save?'; followed by the option of "No" "Ok" and "Yes". What are the difference of OK and Yes....you tell me!!! It gets so hot its untrue. It crashes lots. Its menus are more confusing and disastrous than our London mayor!!

If you are used to...
