Good Points: A great build quality with such stable software and reliability. It has excellent headphones and looks really nice, with chrome trims on the sides. It syncs easily with windows media player and files can be "dragged and dropped" to it in 'My Computer'.It supports DRM.It supports a lot of different formats.

Bad Points: Nothing much really, but it does use a propriety USB cabel, a WM-Port cable. It also has no support for BBC IplayerThats about it.

General comments: The Sony Walkman NWZ-815 is a great quality MP3/MP4 player from Sony. The player supports the following sound formats: MP3, WMA, AAC and supports these video formats: WAV and MPEG4 (MP4). The build quality of the NWZ-815 is great, it is made from a a nice metal and has a good paint on it. The screen has a nice resolution and is really bright and detailed. The NWZ-815 has probably the best sound quality I have heard on a MP4 player so far, with many equalizers to choose from and a pair of really expensive looking and great headphones. The player goes into standby if you turn it off and shuts down fully after just under a day, which is nice because it comes on almost instantly when brought out of standby. When left to turn of completely, it will take a few seconds to load. The NWZ-815 syncs perfectly with Windows media players 10 and 11 and works well with other media players, such as MediaMonkey, although sony do not mention that it should be used.I've removed it when the pc was still writing something to it and it didn't mess the player up, instead it came up with a message saying it was attempting to repair the damaged file. I've done that before with another MP4 player and it broke it by causing the software to fail, so the restore feature is good to have.
