Summary
Among Acer's first forays into touchscreen smart phone territory, the Tempo X960 on paper looks like a Windows Mobile 6.1 device that ticks all the right boxes. With HSDPA and Wi-Fi connectivity for speedy Web browsing, can it strike fear into the ...
Pros
Good connectivity, thanks to Wi-Fi and HSDPA ; expandable memory
Cons
Poorly considered user interface ; unresponsive touchscreen ; tiny soft keyboard needs a stylus ; buggy camera takes blurry photos ; unpleasant Internet Explorer Web browser
Verdict
One of Acer's first smart phones, the Tempo X960 isn't going to strike fear into the hearts of its touchscreen competitors. A dated user interface does a poor job of covering Windows Mobile 6.1's flaws, and an unresponsive touchscreen and sluggish ...
Summary
Acer's latest handset has almost completely given up the E-TEN habits and has a completely new use interface.
Verdict
The handset has been provided by SpeedShop. thanks very much for them! We're talking about a very new handset over here, it has been launched only this week, so the one I had for testing came in a white cardboard box. Unfortunately the list of ...

HSDPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS, Good battery life
Cons
User interface overlay might not appeal to professionals, Build quality could be better
Verdict
The remaining front buttons — Call and End, Home and a button bearing a satellite logo denoting GPS functionality — are all large and easy to access
Summary
HSDPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS Good battery life Tags: Battery, Screen, Mobile
Pros
HSDPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS Good battery life
Cons
User interface overlay might not appeal to professionals Build quality could be better
Verdict
Acer's X960 provides plenty of features, including a VGA-resolution screen. However, this Windows Mobile smartphone's build quality and desk-metaphor UI overlay could be classier.
Summary
Functional, but not very distinctive and the styling feels a bit retro
Verdict
Acer's second Windows Mobile handset is an improvement on its first but - its swishy UI aside - there's not really much to distinguish it from the other Windows Mobile 6.1 devices out there. Sure, it does the job, but the impression we get is that ...
Summary
The Acer X960 is the manufacturer's second attempt in the smartphone realm. It is based on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and aside from looking quite well, it delivers the company´s new Acer ......
Pros
Pleasing design and overall look, The Acer Shell interface is unique and functional, Fast hardware performance
Cons
In-call quality is not good enough, Mediocre camera quality, Display is rendered unusable in direct sunlight

The Acer X960 definitely fares way better than it sibling, the DX900. Although it doesn´t allow simultaneous use of two SIM cards, it is unique with its novelty Acer Shell interface. We sincerely recommend it to anyone who is on the lookout for a new ...
Summary
The Acer Tempo X960 is a Windows-based quad-band smartphone with touchscreen display
Verdict
While we had a few minor gripes, overall the Acer X960 is an excellent smartphone for business users. With Wi-Fi, HSDPA and bluetooth connectivity, it ensures you have fast access to email and web while still offering a more consumer and fun UI.
Summary
Has the Acer X960 got what it takes to play with the big boys of the WinMo world? Niall finds out.
Summary
Does this Acer smarty have the answer?
Pros
Simple graphic UI skin, all the key hardware specs are included
Cons
Screen reflection, sometimes unresponsive, no 3.5mm jack, poor camera software
Verdict
The X960 is likely to find itself rolled out to employees to keep them connected to the office, rather than be snapped up by people spending their own money
Pretty good equipment, making the Blackberry 8800 worth the extra money, full qwerty board .. reasonably good I would say. Better than handsets with inbuilt qwerty boards like P910i from SE.
I have had my G1 for about 1 week now and I am very impressed. This is a stylish phone with lots of features. Considering how light and small this phone is, I am amazed - really, it should be called a palm computer with call capability.
I have never been with T-mobile before (the only provider of the G1 in the UK) but the teams in various shops that I entered asking about this phone were all very helpful and happy to help. The coverage is also good for my area and the shop I bought...
The Nokia 5800 Tube is a very sleek looking phone. More impressive than most phones around. To get a touch phone at such an economical rate and with so many features is highly laudable. Hope Nokia irons out some of the defects in its firmware update.
Overall, very pleased with my Blackberry Pearl 8100. Nice one.
The Apple iPhone is the best phone I have ever owned ! I can surf the web anywhere I want I can open documents - watch youtube videos and download anything straight from the web. The touch on this phone is 2nd to none, it responds so well and you can have over 100 apps on it. I download most free applications and they work fantastic, straight from my phone !
you get a super QWERTY keyboard that responds to the phones angle. The only real problem is dropping them, I really recommend that...
