I bought a Payless four tier mini greenhouse from Focus DIY. After studying the instructions I assembled the steel framework which slot together with no tools being required and metal shelves in about 20 minutes then I put the plastic cover on. When I tried to zip it up I found the left hand zip didn't work so at night I use clothes pegs clipped to the zip and frame to keep it partially closed. I was going to return it the next day but after checking the Argos reviews on a similar item, I decided I wouldn't bother. It seems the zip breaking is a common problem.
I could have returned it for a refund but I had loads of veg potted up and so far I am quite happy with it. It will only be used in the Spring and Summer seasons so the zip doesn't really matter. I wouldn't put much faith in it keeping the frost out even if both zips were closed. I grow my seeds in the airing cupboard with the light left on during the day and I buy small plants from the garden centre in late April so the mini greenhouse for me, is just great. Just after I bought it we had very windy weather so I had to tie it top and bottom to the fence to stop it taking off as it's placed on a concrete surface. Also I placed two heavy plant troughs on the bottom shelf. Max weight per shelf is 10 kilos but I have about 20 on the bottom, well there's no harm with that is there? It is the bottom and I have wooden supports under the metal shelf to take the weight.
I have had this item for ten days and so far I am extremely pleased with it and would recommend it even though one zip doesn't work.
