I recently bought and assembled over the Easter period an 8’ x 12’ Rhino premium in green with integral staging. First the positive aspects: there is no doubt that the materials and design quality are excellent. This is a very strong greenhouse offering large easy to install glass area, great ventilation, good access and features. Certainly better than other greenhouses I have had in the past. But there again it does come at a premium price, so you get what you pay for. It was well... (read more)

Having just completed the construction, we found the glazing upvc beads extremely difficult to clip into position and managed to damage 3 of them before the job was complete, strong thumbs are required and a good quality rubber mallet - frightening when your bashing the beads next to the glass; thank goodness we opted for toughened glass. The gutters are near impossible to clip into place and we ended up screwing them to the eaves. The automatic opening vents were obviously supplied at a... (read more)

Just managed to erect most of our new greenhouse. I would like to say it was a pleasant experience, however it was a battle. The glazing is extremely hard to get in with the PVC glazing beads. Whilst they give a clean look once installed the difficulty in putting them is not worth it. After finally (12hrs!) constructing the frame and glazing the last job was to install the PVC guttering. This has to be the most ill thought out solution. No matter how hard I try the gutters will not clip into... (read more)

Went for the green as was in a prominent position. Ordering very easy and delivery within a week. All parts present. Construction was logical on going through the instructions but I envy those who could do it in a weekend. We had no trouble until the glazing. The fitting system is very robust but took three of us ages to get it all in and thumbs were very, very sore. I wondered if this was with the 4mm glass but I don't think so.. It is very, very robust and I can imagine this is the... (read more)

My wife bought an 8x8 Rhino greenhouse for Christmas for me. My son and I (mainly him) erected and glazed it.The only complaint I have is of the instructions which are complicated and in some instances contradict them selves a few pages later. I live a few miles from the display site and went to look at one on two occasions to clarify some points on how to assemble it. However I am very pleased with it, it is of excellent Quality and good value for money. The young lady who took the order wes... (read more)

I studied the market before buying a 10x8 Rhino because I found there was not much differencein price but the Rhino includes all the key upgrades (eg toughened glass). The whole thing was really quite easy to put together apart from two areas: the instructions are poor - very ambiguous. My daughter and I assembled it over three days and we both have engineering degrees and some parts are just badly explained. We took one of the gable ends apart 3 times to get it right. the glass is... (read more)

I chose the Rhino because we live in a very windy location, and next to a public park so I needed toughened glass. The greenhouse is impressive, very strong, no complaints there. I found the instructions very frustrating. Basically cheaply photocopied with black and white photographs which were supposed to show 'detail' they were just a dark blotch on the paper. The instructions are awful. We managed to build through a bit of trial and error. The instructions are inadequate in my... (read more)

I bought a Rhino Basic 6 x 8ft in green finish. This is supposedly their "budget" range, but the overall quality still shines through. The Basic is supposed to come with 3mm toughened glass, but mine came with a note saying that due to a shortage of 3mm glass they were supplying it with 4mm glass as per the full-price range, at no extra cost, which was very impressive.
The greenhouse was delivered in November, and I managed to get the frame up before the wintry weather arrived, and finally...

Looked at lots of greenhouses at all price ranges. When I added all the "extras" to apparently cheaper ranges they were almost the same price as the comparable Rhino with all those "extras" included.
I decided on the 6 x 12 green finish and ordered mid Nov 10.Delivery was 10 days later on the day specified. It snowed and stayed sub zero for a month so have just assembled the frame. To get the complete structure out of the boxes and assembled on the concrete and brick base took me a day on my...

If you thought MFI instructions were bad you should try following the instructions for this greenhouse! What a nightmare just as you get one section finished you have to take it all apart again to add some more nuts and bolts to hold the extras you have ordered. With a degree in engineering I thought this would be a piece of cake to construct. Have someone build this for you for a fixed price. (read more)

Excellent product. Instructions were clear and comprehensive (they need to be), with only 2 queries which were quickly sorted out over the phone. I built an 8x14 (mill finish) at a steady pace in 8 days and got a friend to help me with the glazing. Every part was labelled & supplied first time although I did need extra fasteners which were delivered next day. The accuracy and quality of the machined parts quickly inspired confidence.
I built mine on a concrete pad which I thought was flat...

Rhino from Greenhouses direct 20' * 8' Premium Quality Range
http://www.greenhousesdirect.co.uk/index.htm
I took ages to make my mind up over a green house, should I buy agricultural glass or toughened. So I looked at greenhouses direct website and found Rhino. Impressive photos with guys sitting on the roof to show how strong the things are. So I chose the 20' job with aluminium finish. The thing turned up on the Rhino lorry and all parts where unloaded glass and all. It took me two...

No degree needed - just patience to read the instructions and the ability to use a nut spinner or spanner. The instructions are almost excellent but better and clearer photos would make the build easier for less able owners.
