Please don't visit Sygun Copper Mine, it's a rip-off (£35 for 2 adults and three children) and they charge £1 to pay by card, and is only vaguely interesting. Don't listen to the leaflet, there is no point going here. The only good part of the trip was the mountain walk (you get spectacular views) and going home. The walk and car parking are free. I don't know how it won an award.

The brochures have this down as a winner of the Prince of Wales Award for Tourism... HOW??
The Sygun Copper Mine tour was mediocre to say the least. The leaflet about this place had some spectacular pictures of the inside of the mine but when you got in you were greeted by the reality of the place with the pictures having been taken out of context with the viewer perceptive... in other words the scale of the photos was were deceiving and some of the areas were not as big as the made them out to be.
Then there was the price... £28 for the family. What a waste. Do not go here. There are other cheaper places to go e.g The Welsh Slate museum which was free and absolutely fantastic and you could easily spend a day in and around the area.
