Tesco credit card is terrific for accruing rewards. However, trying to register for services requires perfect eyesight or a magnifying glass. The font size for entering details of birth is about 3.5 with no way of enlarging. The web pages are about 8 point but at least can be enlarged. Assume they are only interested in customers with perfect vision , and that the website is constructed by teenagers. Trying to complain is only possible via a premium rate phone line or writing a letter. basically an invitation to Va Via (Go away)..repudiating their website claim to make complaining easier. I had enormous custom service problems when using them as a bank, as a credit card they are fine- with the above access exceptions. Something else to deal with in restoring your reputation Tesco !

I opens a Tesco Bank current account to get the 3% interest on first £3000. I already keep my Santander 1-23 account around the £20,0000 limit for their 3% and had some more to save. Having experienced the web site for a few weeks now, I have to say I wouldn't dream of making it my main current account. Overall the web site is very slow indeed at times. The functionality is patchy (although eventually you can do the things you need to), and the navigation and user interface are quirky and confusing. A simple example: With Santander, I log on once and have access to my current account, savings accounts, debit and credit cards. With Tesco Bank, just to log on you have to first choose a "product" and only get access to that. For your current account, you must choose 'savings', which might be true for how I am using it, but it is not marketed as a savings account per se. I haven't activated the Debit Card because the benefits for me are outweighed by disadvantages. You get a very low extra rate of Clubcard points, which are worth about one eighth the value you get using a decent cash-back credit card, and you'd be immediately reducing your current account's interest bearing balance. Of course, if this is your only current account, you'd need to use the debit card at least for cash withdrawals.

Had a text to ring tesco customer service - no number supplied. Presumed it was to do with a failed on-line transaction. Took 49 minutes to get through - which is an unacceptable delay and is the sole reason for this review.
