they blocked my account for security no calls to try and resolve from them, then 3 phone calls later told there security department is not open cant make payments, transfers or even withdraw cash what's the point in security department that's shut customers should expect this to be 24 hours its security related same as every other bank I have ever used. “Should stick to groceries”

6 Hours to get through after suspicious activity on my account resulting in £278 withdrawn causing unnecessary stress and anxiety to me. Googled and see they had their photo site hacked last year so suggest they stick to shops selling groceries. Hope they get my money back quickly while I switch bank… Read Full Review

This is the worse bank I have ever had and I regret ever opening an account with them in the first place. I only started using tesco less than a week ago. And my bank card and online banking has been blocked twice on the same day for no reason. They left me stranded after calling them 3 times. Well I have been kicked off of the app for no reason, no big deal I am sure there is ano easy way to sort that out. After looking on the website I find link after link sending me round in circles and when I finally get to what I want I need to imputation my security number to re set, not a problem... oh wait it won't let as there is a problem with my app!! Was pleasantly impressed by Tesco Bank insurance after i had an accident. Got courtesy car straight away and car been taken for repair next day and returned on a day I requested, which was quite short time. avoid was unable to withdraw funds that i had paid in by bank transfer and took 5 phone calls over five days to get a response and am still waiting now for my money after the account was closed , would not advise anyone to put there savings with this bank and if you have withdraw it now if you can , with brexit and the unstability risky… Read Full Review

House purchase through tesco mortgages. Applied online informed that service time was 2 days and they could access bank details. Impressed so was I the reality is a week on I've now been informed that service time is 7 to 10 days! In addition we wanted a building survey oppose to the standard valuation they booked in. “Time consuming and confusing”

We wanted a fixed term bond paid back into our bank account, and close the tesco account. Had to wait for a letter with a security code to call back with,(OK, I expected that) but then a long call to confirm identity , (OK , to be expected) then a long series of time wasting questions to set up more security codes in case we reopened the account. “Tesco mortgage”

We've been informed right at the last minute that our solicitor does not meet Tesco banks criteria to represent them, despite them being perfectly able to represent all the major banks. This means we have to pay for another solicitor they have provided, or lose the thousands we have paid in fees. They knew who our solicitor was before we paid the fees but didn't tell us there was a problem until we paid in full. Hello , after applying for the credit card by online and accepted , recieve letter from tesco bank that they need certified copies to prove my id and address , after they receiving all my documents they ring me to say that they close my account . “Can't log on as I've stopped my card”

I stopped using my credit card and informed them that I wasn't going to be using it anymore. I have constantly been paying over the minimum payment for as long as I can remember. I have tried to set up a payment programme with them using direct debit but they wouldn't let me as my account wasn't active. Not active only as far as using the card but I'm still paying them. “Rubbish online service”

It's impossible to use their online service. Unless you store their cookies on your PC, your security number will always be locked. Then you have to telephone them and after listening to the automated options, wait in queue. You will, eventually be asked your security questions. Tesco then send a temporary security number to your mobile phone, which you can use to log in. Then you have to reset your security number using one you have never used before. I switched to tesco bank over 1 month ago and I'm still waiting for it to be finished so I can use the card and use online banking. I had to contact them as I didn't received the first security number and they had to send a new security code,then when I received the 2nd one I activated my card over the phone and was told the switch would be complete in 7 working days.I also tried to set up my online banking details and it asked my security question so I answered it and it blocked me out of it… Read Full Review

I recomend calling using you temporary security number and setting up your security over the phone with an advisor before you register for online banking. This would avoid any mistakes as you can only use the temporary security number once. If you use it three times incorrectly this will lock you out. (To protect you from fraud as the system thinks it's someone trying to assess your account by guessing your information) Tesco bank are specifically online telephony and I suggest if you prefer to do non online banking... Choose another bank. This is for the more savvy people!

experienced problems using debit cards on-line. contacted Tesco several times telling them that cards were being described as having invalid numbers. they eventually sent new cards with the same problem. cards were not recognised by Lloyds, Halifax, kwikfit, hsbc, Barclays and dfs. decided to switch to Halifax bank and Tesco stopped the switch because all the cards they had issued and activated for us had INVALID NUMBERS. After applying for a mortgage I received a phone call requesting a paper copy of my credit score, a bit unusual as I have never been asked this before. I sent this and heard nothing back for 2 weeks, after chasing Tesco they stated there was an inconsistency between what they could see and what I sent in, not sure why as it was the same report.
