I was worried on seeing the building that the studio was in, as walking through it smelt damp and was full of bands practising and I think also had people living in some of the old offices. I paid a lot of money for my headshots and since found out that there are 'deals' so I could have got them cheaper. The shots are more like portraits than actors headshots which makes sense as the guy is a portrait photographer. My agent says they look unprofessional and I cannot use them so I have wasted my money. Really friendly guy but I would not reccommend and will be going elsewhere next time.

Hi,
I have read your review, which I believe is unjust. The building in which I work, is an industrial space, occupied by many different creatives, from musicians to artists, and photographers, so the condition of the corridor and outside of the building is out of my hands.
I do my best to keep my area of the building as tidy as possible. As for my studio space in the building, it is spotless and well maintained, as you can see from the other 93 Top Reviews on my profile, clients haven't had cause to complain about this until yourself.
You describe my shots as portraits, they are indeed acting portraits. My work represents 100s of Actors from Minor Actors to Hollywood Stars, and considering from the feedback I have received I must be doing something right. I have worked with Sir Ian McKelllen, Sir Patrick Stewart, and many others who have trusted me with their image.
In your case, I have looked through your Headshots, and found nothing wrong with them. Specifying in Actors Headshots for over 10 years this is the first 2 star review I have ever received.
According to your initial email after the session, you mentioned, it was you who was at fault. Because at your actors headshots session you believed that you didn't perform or pose well. This was out of my hands, as I directed you the best I could. Using techniques honed from over 10 years experience.
You then requested a reshoot, free of charge, unfortunately, I can't offer reshoots if it is yourself who is at fault. I would however encourage you to contact me if you have any concerns or comments.
Kind Regards
Rory Lewis
