Good Points: Asthetically very good, comfortable, airy and roomy - easy to live in with plenty of light. Warm when it blows a bit.

Bad Points: Inserting the pins into the poles is at first difficult, and then when the tent is upright and the pegging-out completed, to get the tension right is tricky. If there is anything wrong with it, the inner tent and groundsheet will not fit into the flysheet adequately and there will be gaps between the goundsheet and bottom of the flysheet of up to six inches.

General comments: We only managed to partially complete the Eurohike Kelmarsh tent as we found it difficult to get the tension correct once the poles were in place and pegging-out was finished. The flysheet was baggy in places which meant the inner tent's toggles did not match the loops to fit them into, and the groundsheet just couldn't be attached properly.

More detailed instructions are needed for the inner tent and groundsheet fittings, especially adjustments and suggestions for any tension malfunctions on the flysheet which prevents the inside of the tent being completed.

Ultimately, the tent is designed well and if there were no tension problems, it is an easy tent to put up and fit out. Even easier to get down!!

WE don't get the gold star or a place on the krypton factor, but .....

compared to a Lichfield ridge tent with poles everywhere, ithe Kelmarsh was easier to erect. However, instructions MUST be read in minute detail, and we found, initially, that it was impossible to get the pins into the ends of the poles (because we didn't read the instructions word for word) but even once solved, we did have a tent with dodgy tension and no give to fit the groundsheet.

When it was up and the pegging-out ...
