General comments: We bought the NScessity Ultrasonic Ioniser air humidifier two days ago because our baby has a cold and we read that humidifying the air in babys bedroom will help to alleviate a blocked nose, slime, etc.

I turned the Ultrasonic Ioniser on at around 5 p.m. and took a look at a thermometer - at that point the air humidity in the room was 42%.

After letting the Ultrasonic Ioniser doing its job for approximately 3 hours, the air humidity in the room had only risen by 2%.

Although I'm not a climatical expert I must say I find that pretty poor.

Also, apart from not humidifying the air in the way it should do, the product also makes a quite loud and annoying hum when turned on, which makes it impossible to leave it on over night somewhere near babys cot, which is where and when it would be most needed.

In additoin to that the product has a strange blue light which illuminates the rising damp. Although I grant that this makes for a pretty swanky visual effect it actually becomes rather bothersome when wanting to go to sleep. The blue light can't be switched off either as near as I can tell.
