Good Points: 1) Solid wood and steel, very little plastic.

    2) Decent power and accuracy (at least with mine)

    3) Good, sharp rifling

    4) A bargain for under $60

    5) Interesting, military styling, a plinker with panache!

Bad Points: Not the prettiest gun, will need some work to get the best out of it.

General comments: Picked up this AK lookalike with folding stock, online for something like $55 a couple of years back.

Chose a .22. I have some 40-50 airguns, most of which are .22 caliber... just like the "thump" of those bigger pells, I reckon.

I knew, from surfing the forums, that it would benefit from some work... I've tuned springers before, so I looked forward to the challenge.

Straight from the box, it appeared to be drenched in some form of Yak-Butter, and the trigger pull was off the scale on my Lyman, 72 ounce trigger-pull gauge.

I disassembled it, polished internals, degreased/relubed etc.

A trigger-job reduced the pull to abt. 3 lbs.

I also filed off the sharp edge on the folding-stock latch, which was starting to turn the web of my hand into hamburger...

My gun seems to prefer the Chinese-made Daisy wadcutters and has settled in at a sedate, consistent 500 fps, chronied. Decent power for a .22 with middleweight pellets.

I later added a rubber stock extension, to lengthen the pull.

The more I shoot this gun, the better it seems to shoot!

Offhand, it's very steady, I can shoot it as well as any other air rifle I own, out to abt 30 yds.

An excellent value for someone who doesn't mind tinkering. For me, improving a bargain gun like this is half the fun!
