Do not be stupid with this cheap device (actually it is not cheap for the what you get), do not waist your money. Example1: You stay at Crescent Road N22 enter Selborne Road, N22 7TH. Binatone will bring you to the Selborne Road, N14 7TH (!!!!!). Any location you starting from (tried from EN3 and N9) will result at the Selborne Road, N14(!!!). Example2: You stay at N9, Edmonton Greenenter Crescent Road N22 and this device (costs by the way £60.00), will track you down to the Crescent Road... (read more)

This sat nav really looks good on the Argos catalogue and still does look good out of the box, also the price is brilliant; However I soon realized that as soon as you buy it you are out of date in that the map update really is few years old (in my case six years old) that means that the sat nav guide you out of your way. To get an update you must buy it from Binatone for 36£, add to this the fact that if you want the update you must post the whole sat nav to them and wait to get it back.... (read more)

it is a very cheap gadjet for neverybody to learn the navigation game.
It tells you to keep left on the motorway so you dont find yourself blocked in the right lane when your turn off comes.
Your trvelspeed can be switched from walking to speeding and you will find it tells you 500 yards 200 and 100 yards to turn.
It updated the local map within a month with the lanes in our housing estate and gives now perfectly all rigt and left turns.
you can safe maps on a 2 gb memocard and help the...

I have owned one of these sat. navs since I sadly had to replace another sat. nav I had (brilliant) I have many times been tempted to launch it through the window of the car into the nearest body of water - if it could get me to one!
Steer well clear (no pun intended) of this system. It has been christened 'B---h' in my car and actually it's one redeaming feature is that it has helped me with my diet - how so? well, everytime I ask it to find the nearest macdonalds (from preprogrammed points...

my wife bought it as a birthday present for me in March by April it found its way down the hard shoulder of the M11. Cheep tat and useless, i don't know why but if you miss your road by 20 yds instead of turning you round it sends you at least 5 miles out of your way to get back to your road. (read more)

I bought this device for my dad for christmas last year & I so wish id have read some reveiws about it first. It is total rubbish, it tells you to turn left when it should be right. It tells you to keep left on the motorway when you should be takeing the exit. The only good thing about it is the funny stories you can tell to your friends after you see the funny side of being totally lost for an hour. DONT BUY IT. Save up for an extra month and buy a tom tom. (read more)

If you want a comedy Satnav that takes you to places you never knew you wanted to go to...this is for you.
It gives you the most wonderful feeling of suspense..never quite knowing if you are even headed in the right direction.
Binatone must have made this peice of junk for a joke.
Mine is 3 months old, and I have just thrown it in the bin today

This is just a waste of money! No updates available online and when I contacted Customer Services they informed me I would have to send it back to them at my expense for an update. Like others I found that it tells you that you have arrived at destination and yet you still have a mile to go. Trying to put in an address is a nightmare as it will not accept the post code. Do not bother buying this. If you need a Sat Nav make sure that you can at least update online. (read more)

My Tom Tom GO 910 was stolen from my car and I decided to go for a cheap Binatone A430 satnav so that its loss would not be so painful. Now I wish it would get stolen! This unit takes forever to fire up and to recalculate routes, does not warn of toll roads and has outdated maps for a brand new unit. I took it to Greece and Turkey and it would not recognise Istanbul although it knew smaller surrounding towns in Turkey. Also, most disappointingly, the whole of Northern Greece, the... (read more)

The Binatone A430 is easy to use with full post code but even when you type in the full post code it takes you miles from where you want to be, eg i put in full post code to one place i know the area and as i pulled up to the address totally ignoring the sat nav it was telling me that i was 5 miles away from my destination and that is not the first time it has done this it is rubbish dont waste your money (read more)

I bought a Binatone A430 from Argos today. Map 8 years out of date, sent me up my own street the wrong way on a one way street. Put 10 miles on a journey which I know will was 21 miles but sent me 31 miles around my town centre. No matter what I did, it would send me to all the town centres and into the traffic. Only took me 2 hours to charge but found it to be useless in 20 minutes. I bought this for a present for my wife as I have a tomtom. I compared the routes and if I let her use... (read more)

None qwerty keyboard....Poor software...Unable to has a series of routes stored on machine...
When I complied a journey from a MAP ..The device would take me to the centre of each intermediate location...So from home to caernarfon, via 10 WAY POINTS I ended up in the middle of small towns, and once lost on a car park....Very very poor....I bounced the heap of junk off my concrete yard then cut the circuit board up....Do not buy...CRAP...
This was the worst buy I think that I have ever...
