“new caravan sale ”

initial contact with campbells was great salesman could not do enough, sales manager gave agreat deal on the caravan and was more than happy. on collection sales could not care less never even said hello just gave few free tea tokens and off he went. handover was rude and rushed found few faults with van sticking keys, ohh they will wear in, then another minor fault thats not my problem (made then rectify it) and right you okay now want to hook up and go. the shop staff though were excellent… Read Full Review

“Great sales, Rubbish service center.”

Sales staff at Campbells are very helpful. I cannot fault them. But the service center are still a waste of space. I bought a new van of them a few months ago and found problems as soon a I got it to the site. Nothing new for Campbells. Thier pre delivery check told me all ok but all was not. Now I trying to get the problems sorted, I cannot get the van in to be fixed. I sick of chasing the service team. There is always an excuse. “caravan warranty repairs”

one or two issues when we bought the caravan off Campbells. Poor brakes and damp in both front and rear of caravan. Took the caravan back to campbells repair centre at farrington, what a difference in attitude.the front damp was repaired before we took delivery of the van, we took the van to the repair centre for the brakes to be repaired and the rear damp to be assessed, which it was and to return to the repair centre at a mutual date agreeable to both parties for repair,which it… Read Full Review

“After care totally rubbish ”

Brought a swift challenger sports had it serviced (because they said it had a service but the report showed there was a back bulb missing and found damp in the one side) after constant phone calls for the last 2 months the problem still has not been fixed keep getting same old excuse that there are trying to find someone to repair it and if they say there going to ring you back total bulls**it they never do after care what after care had better care at mc'donalds. My dealings with Campbells branch at Preston have been first class from the start of buying a new caravan (Bailey Unicorn Madrid) to taking delivery today, 3rd November 2016. This is a very friendly but very professional operation with huge knowledge demonstrated by everyone we have come into touch with. “Customer Service second to none!”

Had a warranty issue with my new Pegasus 4 Rimini. Local dealer (Flintshire Caravans) would not entertain it as we didn't buy it from them but Campbell's were the complete opposite. Blackburn service centre couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Caravan was booked in, examined and a temporary fix done whilst parts were ordered prior to a permanent resolution. “Worst after sales service. ”

“Happy shopping for a major purchase.”

My wife and I are on our seventh caravan in 33 years and for the first time we were treated as important. Not just by the sales but by everyone at Preston depot, including the cafe staff. The experience was delightful. It made parting with a lot of money much easier. I would thoroughly recommend Campbells when you are in need of parting with several thousand pounds. “Not interested unless you buy top spec”

Travelled 50 miles to buy an awning but left with nothing. The awning sales team were less than helpful, especially when we refused to pay £895 for a second hand Isabella awning with no comeback if faulty (you do get 1 month to try it out but after that you are stuck with it). We were actually going to spend about £1500 to £2000 on a new Dorema awning with anexe and inner tent etc but kept our money to spend in a nicer shop. … Read Full Review

There's no email address to reply to so I will just use the respond box ...

We were looking at new awnings and wanted some help from the sales assistant - I asked a question about the awning I was looking at and the assistant did answer my question.

Then the assistant asked if we were bothered about colour as he has a 2nd hand green Isabella awning for £795. We looked at it and the salesman said he made a mistake it was in fact £895 to which we replied it was too dear for a 2nd hand awning with no warranty.

The salesman then said he could do it for £850 and I said I liked the first price of £795 better....

A long pause followed while the salesman went away and looked into a bin of awning poles. On his return he said it had to be £850 so I said no thanks.

At this point I would have expected him to return to the original task of selling us a new awning but instead he huffed and puffed pulled a face and turned his back on us!!

That was when I said to my family that I would rather spend my hard earned money elsewhere - end of story .

Having decided to change from a motorhome to a caravan for mobility reasons Campbells offered the best price for our unit far exeding what a Motorhome only dealer was prepared to offer and better than all the dual ( motorhome/caravan ) in the area. The hand over was smooth and the man took his time to explain in detail how everything worked. First class aftersales was also there with callbacks to make sure we we happy. Bought 2nd hand caravan mid march unable to do handover til April as they were "too busy" with their new Easter deliveries but was assured iif there were any problems with the van they would be sorted as they had a month in which to do it. What a joke! Went to collect the van and the guy on handover was brilliant and very thorough, but then WE (not them) noticed water a third of the way up the front window (this van had so called had a PDI check carried out by professionals???? Like a previous review, we arrived early for our handover, but only by about 45 mins. We were told that they were running about twenty minutes behind, which didn't seem a problem at the time. The person who took us through the handover was very thorough and we can't praise him enough. That really was the best bit, it went downhill rapidly from there. Very slick operation and looked after from time we got there as per other reviews. Explained in detail all aspects of new van by very knowledgeable staff. Only gripe was they hitched us up but battery flap not shut properly and nearly lost battery out locker but luckily stopped about ten miles down road to shut pump flap also not shut either and noticed battery flap. we were offered a brilliant figure for our part exchange, upgrading from a Lunar Clubman Saros to a Lunar Delta TS. The salesman didn't pressurize us and even recommended a good pub nearby for lunch whilst we pondered the deal.
