I recently booked and paid for a Spa day for two with Travelzoo local deals. The deal purchased through Travelzoo was a Spa day, a birthday present for my wife and a friend. The itinerary and what was included was clearly laid out in the offer. I bought a local deal from them that was never fulfilled. Travelzoo takes no responsibility for this whatsoever. They say they can't refund a voucher that is expired, but they sold me a product that takes a couple months to fulfill, so the voucher would be expired before I knew if I ever got the product or not. They refuse refund your money! be careful. I have really bad experience with travelzoo, I will never use it any more. I called them this morning, spent one hour, but they refused to talk to me at last, and disconnect my phone very rude attitude. Bought a spa voucher for $125, but I couldn't reach the spa (nobody answering the phone), then finally got thru months later, then they scheduled me 2 months after! I would have give -1/2 star if there was one. They collect your money and they ignore you--in other words they run!. Got a voucher for Christmas but could not use it as it is only Sun. To Fri. As we work night is impossible to use except Sat. Nights. My voucher was past their 7 day return policy so they will not refund or give a credit for a future date. I use wagjag all the time and they are wonderful about returns. I would never use Travelzoo and would not recommend anybody using it unless you are certain you can use it. My daughter will be out the money now and I do not think she will ever use them... I bought a spa voucher with this company and telephone the place to book a date and was told we are fully booked and not taking any more bookings !!! what is the point ?? the voucher was still in the redeemable date and had not expired. Bought a voucher for fayrer house hotel lake, was told there were no rooms left, and 90 pound to upgrade. Disgusting customer service from the hotel. I bought before Xmas vouchers for a restaurant tasting menu in Kent however it now appears when I come to book that there is no availability for these vouchers left in the restaurant on ANY Friday night for the duration of the offer!!!! We paid travel zoo for 2 for one lift tickets. The ticket voucher that we recived was only good for one ticket not two as advertised Travel zoo posted the full charge to our account, but said we would need to fix the problem through the ski resort ( which had nothing to do with it) to get the second ticket or cedit. I've had two bad experiences with this vendor. And I've found in dealing with them that Travelzoo has one of the worst customer service operations of any of these "daily deals" websites. Be very, very cautious when buying from Travelzoo. Things to watch for include . . . 1) They are famous for running "one price" specials where you supposedly get a four course meal for a given price, and so on (only you find that it wasn't delivered as described, or that the meal consists of "tasting size"... Booked a so called deal at a well-known local gastro pub (George & Dragon, Burpham) and paid £35 for a 2-course meal for 2 with compl. glass of bubbly. I got a voucher from Travelzoo for the fayrer hotel in the Lakes and when I tried to book the weekend dates I was told by the hotel that they had no availability otehr than the graveyard dates during the week. Voucher has 5 weeks to go but you can't book.The voucher is for the Sebel Pier One in Sydney. Tried several times on the phone but couldn't get through and when finally someone answered the phone I was told it had a booking expiry and sorry you have no way of booking it now. Agreed that it is the consumer's fault when vouchers expire before booking, but when you have bought multiple vouchers for the same deal and stand to lose out on a lot of money, the least they could do is offer a credit, partial refund or refund. Obviously I will unsubscribe from them now that they haven't and have decided instead to simply keep my cash. Another customer lost + many more that will steer clear of this dodgy company. I was denied a refund for a hand gliding voucher that I scheduled to use 3 times - each time the merchant changed the time or location (by 35 miles!) within 24-48 hours for various reasons. Since email is not embedded in my brain - it would often give me only half that by time I saw the notice. I've used travelzoo before and been thrilled with there results. However this time they REALLY messed up. They recomended a "local deal" of $20 for two people to visit a cranberry farm and pick cranberries. When you arive at the farm you discover that the tour is FREE to all commers and Is given by the farmer who has owned Flax Pond farm for 46 years. I didn´t get a voucher in my email for a photobook and it expired three months later. (I didn´t have time for a project like a photobook at the time and didn´t realize it expired so soon). Even though I didn´t get the voucher, instead of just refunding quickly in order to keep the customer happy they only offered me credit at travelzoo, that expires in six months. I purchase a voucher for a golf day with Seldon Park but refused to play as was wearing jeans. This was not in the small print and I had previously played with jeans in other golf courses. It has gone into liquidation and travelzoo are basically refusing to refund my money and have told me to claim back from the company !! Travelzoo only pay the company when the voucher is redeemed,they make their profit on unused vouchers hoping people will forget and the voucher expires. The spa has defrauded both Travelzoo and the public as they took the pin code for customers’ vouchers over the phone, which means our system logs the voucher as redeemed. When the spa went into liquidation our records showed that all vouchers had either expired or had been redeemed. The fact that people booked appointments with the spa using their vouchers after the expiry date is not an arrangement Travelzoo was able to have influence over, and we have therefore honoured our part of the deal. We duly paid the Royal Day Spa and are not keeping customers’ money – it has been transferred to the spa which is now in liquidation. I telephoned the hotel several times over a two month period and was told the only day they may be able to accommodate was a Monday. The deal clearly said between Monday and Friday. Having booked a holiday from your site on the 13th June, with Holiday Click. I have experienced nothing but problems. The Flghts were wrong. the hotel was wrong. The company Goldtrail has now now gone bust. I have had to pay again for flights to turkey. I still do not know if this holiday will take place. Do not whatever you do book with

I love travelzoo. You get some great deals on there. We went on a fantastic trip to Sri Lanka and went on safari it was excellent. the 5 star hotel was absolutely lovely with an excellent spa. I definately recommended travelzoo to anyone looking to get a great deal (read more)

We spent a week at the Aquis Blue Marine resort and spa hotel at the
Ammoudara beach in Crete, as recommended by Zoo Travel. This is not a 5*
hotel. Cleanliness cannot be faulted, bar and pool staff effecient. Food
quality very poor dress code NOT adhered to for evening meal, toaster at

How can Travelzoo put a hotel deal on there top 20 deals of the week when the hotel is not even built. Just got back from Madeira where lots of people have expected a 4* all inclusive holiday to be sent somewhere completely different without prior notification or one days notice, this is not on. Do they not check what they advertise before doing so? (read more)

Whats the point of having to ring through for a special offer when you can't get through on the phone! Trying to get through to an operator. Sometimes I'm number 19 in the on-hold queue. (read more)
